.... and first indoor grow. I have the grow room done for now and the grow started. The clones d**n near died moving in to the room, I left the cover off too long. They are recovering slowly, but the seedlings I started in the wally-cloner are doing great.
The cover for the wally cloner is the bottom of a cheap terrarium. | | The Following 6 Users Say Thank You to Trainwreck For This Useful Post: | |

Looking great man.You will like those tubs,I know I do.I have three of them. They are made of heavy plastic and dont loose there shape when you fill them with nutr mix or water.I made alittle frame out of 2x4's to sit them on,it raised them 3-1/2" so I could put a drain valve in them.so much easier to drain and refill, you dont have to move the lid to drain them.Gravity or a small pump and you are done changing them in a short time.looking good keep it up. Peace

In the long run it will probably be outside air vented to the outside so I can better control humidity and add C02.

Peace | If this DWC thing works out for me I think I am going to weld up some aluminum racks for them so I can add drains too.

I haven't done drains, I am actually liking the current system. I have an extra bin I fill with water, let it age, then add nutes and PH it. Then I just swap a lid full of plants on to the new rez and slide it in to place. I bail out the old rez, clean it, and repeat for the next reservoir.
It has the added advantage of allowing to completely clean out each rez with each water change.
The seedlings are starting to go crazy, time to up the ppm to 800-1000.

Does anyone else go through a lot of water? I just noticed the one rez, with the biggest plants, is only half full now.

I was just answering that question above and went to the top of the thread and that's the same reservoir I'm using, O rapture, the meeting minds
I copied this guys res but went 5, 5" baskets for more room.
If all 10 (2X5) of mine on the present grow where all girls I would have left them in the reservoirs but only having 4 girls out of 10 now at week 6
I moved them to 5 gal buckets
If all 24 of yours are girls LST will probably be needed.

I got green algae on my RW like your below, I covered them over now with a plastic circles. Once the foliage fills in it's fine
I highly recommend Silica Blast for heat stress big time, strengthens plant tissue helping plants flourish in heat and cold better and thickens the leaves and branches and best to use throughout the grow. |

Oh it gets better Lumix, I have 6 now, with the latest 2 lids drilled for 15 three inch baskets. I am experimenting with them as a cloning and vegging platform, clones have gone in to 2" rockwool cubes which fit perfectly inside the 3" baskets. Then they will get transferred to 4" rockwool cubes in 5" baskets in the flowering room. I'm going to drill through the 4" cubes so all the roots to pass through and the 3" baskets sit inside it.
The net result, if it works, will be 12 plants a month. That should cover myself and 9 other patients.
