Default Deficiency? Hydro Pros Help Please :-)

Hey everyone. I'll update my grow log in a bit, but i wanted to get this out there. My girls dont look so good. the older leaves are yellowing/dying and have purple leaf tips. the stems also have purple. before this week the older one was the only one that had a little yellowing and tips darker. But now both seem to have it. General yellowing of the plant, yellow leaves with red/purple tips. The roots in the DWC are not white, they are slighly brown (but that may be from the Flora Micro?). There is no longer any goo on the roots (which was on the left one two weeks ago).

*edit* oh yeah i did some research of course. i originally thought this was a N deficiency, but after almost a week on 700 ppm, nothing is getting better. Could it be phosphorous? Descriptions say that turns plants purple too. I'm not sure what Cal/Mag def looks like - could it be that? There was root goo two weeks ago, but there isnt any on it right now (could be because of my H2O2 use)

My setup can be seen in my grow log (see signature), but i'll repeat anyways. This is the nutrient solution and setup right now.

(2) 90w LED UFOs
-GH Flora Series Grow, Hardwater Micro, Bloom
-A little H2O2 put in
-pH 5.8
-ppm 700
-week 4.5 of veg from clone
-temperature 77-85
-DWC setup with hydroton in kitty-litter buckets holding about 2 gallons of water
-no light gets into the bucket (blocked by poly plastic)
-dont know exact res temp, but probably a few degrees cooler than cabinet temp. maybe around 70-75
-I DID NOT put in SuperThrive or SM-90 in the last water res change (about a week ago).
-water in buckets is about 1 gallon steam distilled water, and 1 gallon tap water (at ~400ppm)

*edit again* The Dutch Master Zone just came in today, so I just put that in the water (helps fight algae/rot and stimulate roots). wont know if it helps for awhile

Hey Dieabetic, I thing your right it's a P deficiency and check your PH and your meter too.Are you using a chart to mix your nutr by or just the bottle? The roots look fine don't need anything there.I would keep it simple just use the three part and sweet for a little while. To many additives and you don't know what's doing what or not doing it. What the mix you have in the buckets now? Grow-micro-bloom.Not that you dont know this already but always mix the micro in the water first. You can try this, mix your water all distilled water, add your nutr and add 1 tsp epsom salt per gal of nutr mix.Epson salt is cal-mag.I use it when Im out of botancare cal-mag.Your PH at 5.8 is fine and the ppm's I wouldnt go over 700 just yet and see if that helps them out. Peace

thanks toke ya i went with straight 3-part and water and DutchMaster Zone this time and didn't put in the SuperThrive and SM-90 because the additives can complicate things. i didn't even put in Sweet. Only put in DutchMaster Zone because I heard its very good as a root preventative. plus its only like 1/8 TSP. the strange thing here is that the one on the left seems to be worse off with more yellowing while the other has similar symptoms, but is ore green at the moment. that is why i thought it was the bacteria/algae infection. either way thanks for the help Toke, ill try to find some epsom salts....

where do you even buy epsom salt?

what about if this is phosphorous? i'm using GH Flora Hard-Water Micro (and I use about 1 gallon distilled and 1 gallon tap water @ 400ppm to make res.....total about 200ppm). Should i get regular Micro nutrient and see if they just arent getting enough from the "HardWater Micro" - which purposefully has less nutrients in it because it presumes you already have too mcuh of some of them from your hardwater.

oh yeah and Toke forgot to add. right now i am following the directions on the bottle (when it comes to ratios). im in the veg/transition to bloom phase, which is equal parts ratio 1-1-1. the bottle says 2 tsp of each per gallon. i think i used a little less than that, and kept adding 1/8 TSP until i reached 700ppm. so in my 2 gal buckets prob have 3tsp Grow, 3tsp Hard Water Micro, 3tsp Bloom. Unfortunately not only do I have a small space, but I am also limited in time. I HAVE to harvest in the first week of December, because starting about the 16th I will be gone for the holidays, and I want buds to be dried and already in jars starting to cure by the time I have to leave for a couple weeks (hopefully they wont mold! this scares me.....). so i'm putting them into 12/12 within the next two days i think. gotta figure out this problem so i dont get severe stunted/slow growth. although i suppose i could let the flowering go on longer, then use the 2 weeks i am gone for flushing. but again i dont trust just leaving the plants in hydro for 2 weeks where i cant monitor them. alright done with my thinking out loud rant. let me know what y'all think.

Thanks again :-)
