Couple DWC Questions...

Hey all,

I've got the DWC bins running pretty good now, but still not happy with some things.

I have two plants showing either the beginning of nute burn, or heat burn (likely the latter) with just a few browned tips to the sawtoothed edges of the leaves. The lamps have been about 8-12" off the plant tops, but that 1000W is pretty damn bright, so I'll back it off a bit. Heat is not an issue, as far as I can tell since the BlueBerry is closer than any and showing no signs of heat stress at all.

Would like to get this nute matter settled, so's I can get moving forward on other things. I am currently running:

1 tsp. Cal/Mag Special Plus

along with this I am adding in 2-3 tsp ea. of the Aqua Vega (or Aqua Floers for those about to go to flower) A & B (equal parts of both solutions) to the Cal/Mag+.

The PPMs at the start of the bins (Saturday) was 450 (approx), and is now down to 220! There is not much water use (1/2 gal?) but the Ph is steady at 5.6. (according to the chart they provide, I should be between 650 and 850 ppm)

Should I add more nutes mixed in along with a 1/2 gal of water? If they sucked it up so fast the first time, should I increase the nutes?

Also, in my bubble-bucket the Ph rose to 5.9. I've been correcting these small differences back to 5.5, but is it worth messing with at 5.9, or should I wait till it hits over 6.0 to make changes? Is that really super critical?

shit brother i only ph my water once...when i change the resi...i would raise the ;amp another 8 in off the top of the plants...an up the nutes feed your plants...but thats the problem with using the r-tubs for dwc with multiple plants..hard to give one plant more food than the others...thats why i scraped that an am going back to my hempie boxs...peace

Yep. My next grow will be all 5 Gal. buckets just for that reason, and that there isn't enough ROOM in a 10 gal bin for 2 plants to grow up in.

As for the nutes, I'll raise them up to 550 today, and hope for the best. They should be OK, as they have seen 600 already (when they had issues in their early lives).

Hey ISO, raise the light 10"and top up the tub with nutr like it started with,till next res change.After that just top up with water if the ppm is high.In your buckets if your PH is staying at 5.9 dont ajust it,till your nutr change.It's better to not give it to much than to give it what the bottle saids too.You will see if she wants more.Go up slow on the nutr.Hope that helps.PEACE
