Default CO2 question

Hi all! I read somewhere that if you are using flourescent lights for blooming, you are wasting time using CO2. Is this true? I have been flowering for 2 weeks now under a six lamp T5-HO 3500K, and I plan to add 2 TT 3500K's for side lighting. I was looking into buying a bottle and gauges. I just wondered if anyone uses or have used CO2 with flourescent lighting? Or would I be better off to move up to a 400 hid and not spend the money on the CO2? Thanks! Just trying to get the biggest bang for my buck! and I have great ventilation...intake and exhaust. I also was wondering, if would possibly be better to buy the hid lights and combine them with the flourescents? Just curious!

I use a rubbermaid box setup, and during the last two weeks of my first grow I used CO2, but this grow, which will be harvested in the next few days, has grown identically without CO2.

Flourescent + H&PS ? More light is always better, just keep the temps down. And after you get the HPS, the CO2 would probably be worth something to you.

Hey Rcdunn1, I've used co2 many times in the past, adding supplemental CO2 to your ganja grow will benefit the plants only if they are CO2-limited. Which means that, at ambient CO2 levels, the canopy is light-saturated. This is pretty difficult to achieve with CFLs.
I hope this helps you.
Peace

Thanks! I just had a little extra money and I think I've decided to step up to the hid lighting 400 watt digital ballast with a 6" vented hood. I also plan on running a 6" inline fan that I plan on venting. I think I'm gonna use my flourescents as side light and leave the CO2 alone for now.....maybe later! Thanks!

Default some pics

Here's some pics from last week. I'll update some pics this weekend when I get more time. Thanks for all your good advice! and yes, they are all females, 2 snow white and 2 medusa, which was a big mistake...I think! These two strains are not playing well together....I highly suggest not growing these 2 together because it is very hard to get that fine line of nutrients. It has taken alot of work! Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Nice plants.Growing two strains in the same tray dose make for more work.Get the 400 hid you will not be sorry you did.Get a digital ballast is better they will run both HPS&MH lamps, good move.Later read some more on co2 with HID works better than florescent.Keep up the good work. Peace
