Default Bulking up a flowering plant in DWC?

Two of my currently flowering plants are in DWC (1 bucket, 1 tub). In my first grow (all soil) I learned about using Molasses to help give the buds some good carbs and bulk them up a bit..is there a "companion" kind of thing done in a DWC or hydro grow?

Just wanting to be sure I don't miss important steps along the way.

Hey ISO and MERRY CHRISTMAS, Yes there are products that do bulk up the bud.Advance Nutrients has carbo load, botanicare has {sweet}and it's in two flavors citrus , berry if that means anything.BC Techaflora has sugar daddy.GH has kool bloom which I use and you can see my buds from the last harvest.Kool bloom you have to becareful that you dont use to much, but carbo load you can give alot of to the plants and it wont hurt them. Those two I do know about ,cause I have used them.At first flowering I used the carbo load for three or four weeks and in the last half of flowering I used kool bloom and then flushed and harvest.I will be giveing sweet a try out soon to see how it is and let you know what I think about it.Well that's what I got to say, maybe somebody else knows more on it.I would go with the carbo load and koolbloom, if you are using GH nutr and if not just carbo load.PEACE

Mucho Thanks Toke!

It would be just the right timing (4 weeks into flower) then for me to start the carbo-load...cool!

I am going to post up some pics of the BlackBerry buds today...looks to me like this plant is done, and if I want any longer it will be past prime. Trichs are dark on it (about 90% of them!) and AI don't want it past prime when harvested. Today would be day 32.

I'll run up to the hydro shop today (Do I wanna make a 60 mile drive in the snow?) and get some of the carbo load...and see what else they have too...seems I can never get out of there for less than a hundred bucks...LOL!!

Molasses in hydro is a no go.Can and will plug up the pump and drip lines. Will start algee to grow and dose not mix well in hydro. The carbo load is the same as molasses but it will dissolve in water and mix with your nutr and is cleat too.Bad problem with molasses in a ebb&flood or drip is that the sugars will stick to the roots and everything and then here comes the pests, those nasty bugs.In soil it is another story all together, molasses is great in soil but not hydro. The guy thats grow tomato's using kool bloom is using to much kool bloom.I use carbo load when the flower starts to growing good, then add carbo load for 4 weeks big and fat buds and in the last part of flowering which you only feed them the koolbloom 3 times, then you flush them for harvest.I get big buds that way,it works for me and I'am not going to fix it. PEACE

Hey IIB You are using botanicare products already, and they have there own carbohydrate product. It's called {sweet}.Comes in two flavors citrus or berry. With botanicare power flower the sweet is made to use with it.So you dont have to change anything just add the sweet. That's kinda funny cause I have there brochure sitting here on my desk. There chart says veg phase 10 ml per gal, transition phase 10-15 ml per gal, fruiting&flowering/reproductive phase 15-20 ml per gal.Well there you have it right from botanicare.PEACE
