I would like everyones opinion on what I'm going to purchase.
I picked a 3x3x6 spot in my walk-in closet and will use:

- Dark Room DR80
Dark Room DR80 - 2'8" x 2'8" x 5'3" | Grow Rooms=

- Dual Spectrum Bubbleponics Complete Kit
SH Hydroponics, Inc. > Dual Spectrum Bubbleponics™ Complete Kit
(I'll use the included light for veg and purchase a separate 430 Watt HPS for flowering)

- 10 White Widow (feminized) seeds

Should I get a squirel cage?
What should I do about the odor in such a small space?

Glad to have you on the boards! Please stop in the Introduce Yourself forum and tell us a bit about yourself.


Couple thoughts on your set-up. Are you planning to air-cool the light? In that size of a space it will be nearly mandatory to do so.

There are several filters you can get...for a small grow like this I would use THIS ONE. But there are many more styles, etc.

Hey buddy! I'm not sure if you have any "handyman" capabilities, but for the closet, you could simply substitute a home depot closet, and cut that expense in half. Drill a few holes for an exhaust and you'd be all set.
I've even seen where two closets were put together as one unit.
I think theres some plans on this site somewhere explaining how to do it.

I feel the same about the unit you've chosen from s/h. You could build it for half that price, if not even less. You would also end up with a better unit too, with a complete knowledge of its workings.

If ya decide to go the "diy" route, and need any help, just give a hollar.
Be happy to help walk you through it.

So far as seeds go, personally, I love using feminized seeds. I know alot of people would disagree with me, but I've had good luck with them, and you can find some really good deals on feminized seeds, if you look for em.
