Default Black light clones???

well i know that a black light cant be used in growing your plant because of the farther then blue spectrum into the purple but i was just pondering and started thinking that the more a weed plant grows the farther it goes into the red spectrum right? well if thats the case then it should be a deeper blue the younger it is right and deeper blue is in the purple spectrum if im not mistaking... i have no clue if what i said is actually factual just some random thought that went through my head... well anyways im tryin it lol

comments???

Default Black Lights suck

Jangel is absolutely correct forget the blacklight. If you want to try something different try "Blue Actinic" bulbs are in the 420-450 nm range which will grow plants but it is better used as a supplemental light to shorten node length. If you are using a 4 tube T5 fixture 1-2 of those tubes can be Actinic. These were developed for the aquarium industry to grow plants under water.
I never say anything here that I have not tried first. This seedlings for this years outside grow were started under actinic lighting, both full and half actinic. Check out the bucket brigade to see these grown. Here's a pic or two.
