Rep Power: 27 | | Anybody ever use one of these?
I ran across this while i was looking around on the internet, i got my stealth grow cabinet going and my mother is getting huge, she takes up all the room in there. Thinking about useing one of these for vegitation and flowering. I obviously wouldnt buy one of these setups, you could get the stuff from your local walmart for a quater the price. Just curious what kid of results anybody got from that small a work area, witht that kind of density. I was under the inpression that plants should be at least 12 inches apart, these are less tehn 4 inches apart. Heres the line would like to here what you have to say. http://www.stealthhydroponics.com/pr...xProd=2&xSec=2 |

these DIY hydro setups are very easy to make, as you said for a much cheaper price. check out our DIY section and you will find TONS of threads on this. good luck!
*edit* and no the plants dont need to be 12" apart, they can be closer you just need to trim them so they dont cover up eachother, and with plants closer in the hydro setup, the roots always get tangled too. make sure you take them all out at once, not one at a time else you may break/damage some of the roots

Rep Power: 0 | | Looks good. I like it alot actually. Now ditch the cfl reccommendation and get some real light.LOL Look at that! Do you see just how dam easy and cheaper it would be to build the very same thing yourself from so much as a trip to home depot or even WalMart??? 185$? I think not.Not for just a sticker. Peace, Med

And I have it on good authority that this will break down on you, and that is not fair if you have meds in it. If interested in this type of thing, do it yourself for about a quarter the price and you know it will not break then.

I would never buy one of these units, they give a full parts list. With a couple of hours and some house hold materials i could rig somthing like it up for nothing, That what the primary reason i was interested, Dieabe pointed me toward the DWC threads and systems and i smacked myself in the forehead that i didnt connect the two in my brain.
Not sure why some put down CFL. I use 2 day light 5500K 2,000 Lume 100Watt replacement CFL's in my mother house. Started out with 4 mothers 2 Desil, and 2 blue chronic. Did clones and flowered each clone to check for sex, had 2 males and two females, 1 of each. Its been just under 5 weeks vegitative for the two remaining moms (they will stay in vegitative until they are too big for their cabinet). Point is that they are over 3 feet tall (38") i am so proud. They got another 12 inches before i cant raise the lights anymore and they will be just about kissing the lights. No heat problems (constant 77.5 degrees with fan on 15 minutes every hour), cheaper bulbs (about 9$ per bulb at local indoor grow store), and alot less energy (whole mother cabinet uses less then a 100watt incandesent light bulb)
obviously for flowering this will nto do, but i aint there yet... I think i will start experimenting with one of these DWC systems, perhapes a simple 1 plant bucket to start with.
Smoke them is good health
