Default What type of soil and additives???

This seems like a stupid question, but someone once said there are no stupid questions, only stupid answers. so here we go.
There are many different types of soil available; water retention, nutrient release, loam soil, seed, sowing and cutting soil. so what is best?
what else do u mix in with ur soil, worm castings? bonemeal? fishmeal? dolomite lime? bat guano inveg stage or flower stage?
i know that a large part of perlite and an amount of vermiculite is also essential for the mixture, anything else?
greatly seeking assistance so any help would be appreciated
please help?

The best soil I have found to date is Roots Organic... The stuff is perfect at least I think so. I have tryed alot of soils because I love to experiment and they won... Im experimenting now with live earth worms right in the soil...

I don't know what is best...but I know many work well

There are soil recipies all over the site that work well and here is one or two for you

a simple organic recipe that works well

9) SOIL MIXES

as long as you have the basics correct soil/soiless mixes are pretty forgiving....just don't overfertalize by putting in too much fast release ammenities like blood meal

I have grown excellent ganja in Sunshine #2 mix, (which has no additives), but I used organic nutes at reasonable rates.

Also have had excellent results with Fox Farm Ocean Forest (which has a lot of additives), so I go even lighter on the nutes.

Next bunch of seeds will go in half FF and half Sunshine #2 and I add some sand.

I think the main thing is to keep away from the cheap stuff which has been shown to have some nasty stuff in em.

K-Mart was selling some cheap stuff which was found to have lead and other crap.

Hopefully, there will always be a source of decent soiless mixes!
