Default Question on Ph falling 2 points after watering

I'm doing my first soil grow (1)
When I give her a drink it goes in at 7 and it comes out 5

Feed, collect exit water and PH test, right?
The PPM blinks 2000+
going into 2nd week of bloom

add some lime to the soil. dig up an inch of soil and spring some lime and water.

I wouldn't be too concerned about it, Lime would help but I grew two harvests with soil and never tested the ph. the ppm is probably from the soil bits in the water so I wouldn't worry about that either.

yes dolomite lime is called a 'buffer' in the soil. add 1-2 TBSP of it per gallon of soil. the reason your pH is so low coming out is because the nutrients in the soil are making the pH very low. To lower from 7 to 5, you pH could be around 4.....which is BAD. first of all....are you testing pH/ppm of nutrients first? you want to aim for 6.3-6.5 pH for soil. whats the ppm before going through? 2000 is high for 2nd week of flower. The plants will look ok for now, but with the pH off deficiencies can develop

If your growing strictly organic i wouldnt bother to test the water. Soil microbes will set it all right.

When I adjust ph of water for organic plants it seems to do more harm than good.
