the pH tester is used only reads between 4.0-9.0. Since it read the color for the lowest pH, i hypothesized that it is below 4.0. I did write that it wasn't accurate as far as exact pH, but more of a general area of what it could be.

I don't have a soil tester, but i assume it depends on where you live. Different parts of the island and state have their own Geo. On O'ahu, the soil can be different for every ten miles. Some places are more wet, dry, higher lower than others.

I don't have a soil tester, but i assume it depends on where you live. Different parts of the island and state have their own Geo. On O'ahu, the soil can be different for every ten miles. Some places are more wet, dry, higher lower than others.

kaili, if you have a ph meter, to test you soil ph you just wait till you water well, then drain off the runnoff and test the very last bit. That will give you an accurate picture of your soil ph.

Totally forgot about that technique! Been to distracted trying to improve other areas.
After my fruitful search for the thread on ICmag. i've turned up fruitless. I did have one of my random memory's (girlfriend calls me ten second tom for a reason) and i might have actually seen on 420mag. Both sites have similar color backgrounds. Of to search again.
