Default A new soil to play with

I went out to my local LOWE'S garden center and found this nice looking Organic potting soil named "Jungle Growth"

And I gotta say it looks a lot better then the MG Organic Choice I had been using. This soil has a nice blend of peet moss, composted chicken/cow manure, and perlite.

I also found BLACK VELVET "weed free" Mushroom Compost.

I mix up 8qts of Jungle Growth and add 3qts of the Mushroom Compost and 2qts of perlite

A nice looking soil blend.
Peace
and
Happy Trails

how would this soil blend compare to fox farms organic soil mix? I can't decide what soil I want to try for my next grow.

Promix also makes a very inexpensive organic soil if I remember correctly. A lot of growers have had very good results with this product too. The owner of the seedbank I go to swears by it and won't even touch anything else.

Default Try Both

If you were already planning on using the fox farm,do it and try this also and compare.(please)
This is only 6.95 for 32 qts
and the Mushroom compost is 5.45 for 40 lbs
and Perlite is around 5.00 for a bag (at Walmart)
LOWE'S SELLS REPACKAGED OPEN BAGS FOR $1.00(so there's a little missing)
I love to find a bargain at lowe's.

Peace

We don't have Lowes in canada. Promix is a type of mixture, not a brand. many different companies sell a variation of promix. It is just usually compost, peat moss, perlite, and some manures mixed together. It was developed by professional growers, thus Pro Mix.
