I have just started my first grow and I am wondering how I am doing? Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.
My girls (I hope all girls) are 6 weeks old and look great to me but that is my perception...
I am hoping someone else will let me know if I am on the right track.
I am growing with around 15 26w 6500k cfl's for veg and planning on switching ot 2700k for bloom.
I have many strains:
strawberry cough
super lemon haze
bluehell
white rhino
G13 gigabud
Thai Skunk
2 Commercial test plants
19 total
10 guaranteed fem
9 unknown

Rep Power: 0 | | My latest pics at 6 weeks
These are my babes at 6 weeks.
Just gave them a full strength nutrient solution of earth juice - grow, bloom, microblast and superthrive and they are progressing very nicely.
I am wondering when to put them into bloom. Is it based on size or plant growth stages? I am not sure but I am sure I don't want to screw this up. Any help would greatly appreciated.

From what i have researched, expect the plant to get about 2-3 times larger when it is flower time. Also if you bought your seeds from a website they might be able to tell you when to flower. I dont actually have any grow experience but i have researched quite a bit. Im sure someone else with more knowledge will help you soon

Hi There and welcome to Green Passion.
Your plants look awesome. Super healthy and lush looking.
As when to put them into flower ? That would have alot to do with the space you have to grow them in. They will most certainly double and quite possibly triple in size the first 3 weeks in the flowering period. So you will have to be the judge on that.
Great growing... your plants are loving what you are doing.

Thanks for the quick reply. I am glad to hear that they are looking good. I know that I think they are the next best thing since sliced bread but it is great to hear someone else comment on them positively. Thanks for the bloom advice.

your plants are looking super healthy...and your grow space is super clean (always important)
I don't have any advise - but I do want to congradulate you on the great start and hope it continues
when to put plants into flower?
well they have to be mature...genrally at least three weeks or more....you will see five and seven finger leaves instead of three....most people are confined by vertical space as shinningwind correctly indicates....wait as long as you can for maximum yeild but make sure you have 2x again as much vertical space from your final veg height. you are also limited by the amount of light you have....you can see for yourself that if all those plants double or triple in size you might want more light on them....do you have space for a rolling harvest keeping some in veg pehaps with some prunning..while others go onto flower? that could keep you light demands down....strong light makes for big budz...veg is much more forgiving when it comes to light demands.
just looking at everything....and from the genetic you selected...it seems you have done your homework

I appreciate all the advice.
As far as the light I do realize if I want a good harvest that more is better so that I am working on. I did look into many strains and for myself these were the medical strains I was looking for. I hope the perform as well as they were advertised.
I have to admit getting them to the U.S. from attitude seeds and also seed boutique was easier than I ever imagined. I wish I had done this long ago.
I will keep updating the pics weekly and let everyone know how they turn out.

Hey whirl, your plants look great.
I use EJ Nutrients as well. I kinda followed the 3LB method on using the products. IF you haven't seen this, 3LB Guide to Earth Juice | Cannabis Chronicles I think it is worth reading. I have pushed my plant pretty hard through 12/12 with alot of Bloom and Catalyst. I never used more than 1 TBS of Bloom to a gallon but I fed that 3 feedings then 2 feedings with sweet feed.
