Anyone who knows me, knows that I'm an old school organic dirtbagger.
I've had great success with amongst other things, bat guano but now I've become aware of a potential health problem using my all time favorite nute. The Hidden Danger that Bats Leave Behind: Guano - Associated Content - associatedcontent.com
Guess that I'm gonna get a respirator and be a lot more careful.
Hope this helps anyone else who is using this wonderful nute.

it is never too healthy to breath in any dust, so why should be dried bat poop be any different? most of the article is pure fear mongering in my eyes, we should rather provide more shelters for local bat populations then to drive fear.

Yes, green, you are right. An insectivore bat will eat it's weight in insects every day.

Bat houses are really easy to make. Small openings on the bottom, thin enclosed box. Face it south, bats dig the south. For a wet climate like in the Pacific NW these little buddies are welcome any time, mosquito's beware. I really don't want to breath anything that has powdered **** in it, I'm sure Ive done worse, unfortunately. like to smoke stuff grown with **** for some reason. A friend had community service at the zoo, got some elephant dung, grew some strong herb with it in a compost. Maybe he will get into that program again. Anyone ever grown in elephant crap?
