ok, so while watching my plants today, i noticed that there were a few fruit flys in the surrounding area. im not sure but i dont think fruit flys eat plants, but is there anything that i should be worried about. if i should be worried, what can i use to get rid of these little flys??
Jangel told me to put a bowl of viniger and water near my plants. The flies will checkout the water and DIE. It works. Also those yellow sticky traps work too.

yes vinegar works , also beer, wine and the like. put some in a jar and make a fruit fly trap. put what have you in the jar cover with saran wrap , put an elastic around the rim of the jar to seal tight the saran and poke some needle holes big enough for the pesky liitle bastards to get into ..... and you have your self a home made fruit fly trap...... Happy Trapping
ok so i read the FAQ section, and when it says "five Tbsp hydrogen peroxide, a few drops of detergent in five or six cups of water", what is the "detergent" refering to, the insecticidal soap?
Any dish detergent will work. Nothing sepecial, you just need that as a surfactant to help it not just stay on the surface. Those flies would most likely fungas gnats and breed in the soil.
