Rep Power: 0 | | Yellowing of Leaves
i start my seedlings off indoors so right now they're in the grow drawer, but on only one strain i have the first set of round leaves are going a bit yellow and the tips of the first true leaves are turning yellow and then all the other leaves are fine. this is the start of week #2 and will most likely transplant starting next week depending on the weather and everything. i was just wondering if anybody knew why the leaves are turning yellow? i thought it might have been sunburn so i rotated the container and the leaves are further away from the light...im sorry but i cant upload any pics, the babies are under 2 x 42W CFL 6500K and 1 x 42W CFL 2500K the lights are only a couple inches away from the plants since they stay cool and most days i have a fan blowing down 24/7 on themi did water once last week with a half strength liquid bone meal and another watering the next day with a already mixed and diluted solution of 20-20-20 liquid fertilizer and i further diluted it down to a quarter of the original strength and then straight water whenever needed.i used jiffy cubes to start and i have them in aluminum cookings trays and just fill the bottom of the tray with water and the roots can absorb the water whenever needed.

sounds like it MIGHT be nute burn.
keep in mind that at 2 weeks, they don't need or want any food yet.
try potting them up into some soil and giving them a good drink of nothing
but ph balanced water, and let the water run out the bottom, until you do,
you haven't watered them enough.
then just give them water for the next week or 2, after that, they will be strong
enough to need feeding.
personally, i start my seeds in rockwool starter cubes, then move them into
9oz cups, then up to 16oz cups until i put them into their final 33oz homes.
i run a small SOG so i start flowering my ladies when they are short.

Those first leaves always dry up and fall off. And do not feed them until they HAVE dried up and died. I would do as bozo suggests, he is right on.
Peace

hey there.
what you are witnessing is quite common.
if you have access to lawn clippings, soak that in water overnight and use it to feed them. also when you place them outside they will recover and strengthen. theres nothing like natural sunlight.

You have to "harden" them off in order to keep them healthy.
Peace

Alright. Thanks for all the help, I am just gonna start doing everything you suggested. Approximately how big should a plant be at 2 weeks, height and like diameter from tip to tip of the largest leaves?

also remember that while most strains start off the same, the conditions you start them in will affect how they grow, not enough light stretchy and thin, the right amount squat and bushy.
