Angry Hermie Check

Well, while in the process of doing some pollenating around this plant I noticed tell tale signs of the 2 little hairs poking out there in many spaces. I am considering donating some seed to a place were sick folk with no funds can access them but if the whole garden seeds out I won't have any place to cure it. I was planning to do a massive water cure because the horn a plenty has overloaded my capacity for air drying. What is a stoned old fart to do?
Is it potent enough to use other than smoke?

Can I harvest Hermie pollen too and how long before I yank it

Thanx

Actually, wb, you can still smoke it, it just takes a bit more. You could also make hash with it.

Hermie pollen will give you all females, however, the tendency to hermie under stress will be passed on to the next generation of seeds. You would have to make sure you treated the new seedlings like little princesses.

Could try putting paper bags over the stalks showing male pods and wait a few days, then harvest the pollen by cutting the whole branch off and carrying it away before you open the bag.

Unfortunately, I know of no way to get them to revert once the start to hermie. On the bright side, I really cannot see any clear signs of balls in the photos (remember, I'm a blind old fart), so you may not have a problem just yet.

Later,

I do not believe. It has been different from her sisters from the beginning. Same strain as the whole outer ring of my grow but was very willowy lookin more the sativa style, not the cross MTF is supposed to look like. I'm gonna kill it. I am already seeding other plants that I can control.

Thanx for the input, ole fart

Wink Weekly pic update

Well, we are well into the flowering period maybe 3 weeks ahead of time. The buds are blowing up right in front of my eyes.
I dosed them with Humic Acid for the third time this season. All water and feeding now done via soaker hose.
"GRANDAMA ENGGY'S" Extra Pure H2. It's a Candanian product I got from ebay. jangels gonna like that.
The pics are hard to see through the net but I think you can see the colas looking out here and there. I asked a lot of them to bow their heads today also.

Wb,
Thanks for the update, those flowers are sure getting fat now. Thanks for letting us know some of your secrets. That Humic acid sure does make the plants look great. I harvested one of the early, (local strain) plants today. I took only the biggest, ripest colas.
See ya,

Default It is my sworn duty

To the God of Canabbis culture to release any information deemed "IMPORTANT". I kinda figured you'd be doing some harvesting on her after the last pics you posted. Jealous, I am, I still have a while to go yet. We have been blessed with some most excellent weather and it is going to last another week they say. Sooner or later I will have to cover them. I also harvest in stages.

This garden is 3 feet off of my back deck. It fills the big picture window and I find myself staring out that window a lot.

Smile Just a couple of nighttime pics

I like the way the flash makes the buds pop out. Out of necessity I have snipped of a couple of end buds that the trichs showed 1/2 cloudy. It is one of the MTFs. Not long lasting but impressive for the quick cure. I tested this morning after waking and having a cup of java. Three hits off the bong and the space behind my eyes tightened up and two tokes later I went back to sleep!!!!!! for another 4 hours! What is it gonna be like when the trichs go amber?

Unhappy Raining like hell heads drooping;

Branch bent with the weight of the water. I went out to check it out and figured it is ok til Tuesday when they will get a cover. As I was standing there taking in the smell of the rainy day mixed with the perfume of the girls I noticed this one branch on the break of snapping. What could I do says I, well why do you not make it a little lighter, so I did, snip. Not so heavy now. 2-3 more weeks and I have 75 of those.

Here are a couple of pics, one of the aforementioned culprit bud. Not the biggest by far. One in front of a gallon bottle and one next to my forearm.

Been cheating for a week. Have already taken two of those. Water cured them and of course I was anxious so as soon as it was ready I fired some up.

Three tokes and I was yawning so hard my jaws ached. Two more and I went to bed!!!! I needed that though. One of my problems is lack of sleep. The strain is MTF or WTF it is called. I don't care. It works!

Hey Wb,
That bud sounds like the perfect medicine, I smoked some of this years also, and the stuff hits you hard for about 10 min. and then tapers off. Freeking WOW.
Continues success, from the North Bay

Holy smokes! Those buds look as if they have just been through an ice storm! Those are some of the most impressive bud pics I have ever seen. My hat's off to you for an awesome grow, wb!
