Hmm, well we have a fairly productive garden(s) that we rely on for our food source and could easily integrate MMJ into the mix if we ever get delivered out of the dark ages here. We compost just about everything that will compost, paper, cardboard, leaves, weeds, grass, spent plants from the garden, animal manures, and kitchen waste (except meats/fats/oils). I also feed the compost with green manures such as oilseed radish and sweet silage, I also grow many other cover crops, crimson clover, winter rye, hairy vetch, and field peas, that I planted once summer harvest was over. Legumes, such as hairy vetch and field peas, are great nitrogen producers. Some, like summer alfalfa would help breakup the soil for next years planting. In a patch of hairy vetch and alfalfa, one could grow cannabis (just as I would tomatoes) out of it, after a year's growth, I imagine. I also plan to sow some Pacific Gold Mustard in the spring to combat a Nematode and Fungi imbalance in one particular plot that we grew potatoes in to many years in a row. Of course these techniques are meant for long term operations of sustainable organic growing, and I'm still learning myself.
