If they're a bit porous so air can penetrate, I don't think they're a good idea only because they'll need to be watered more often. If you try growing similar plants in a porous or clay pot and a plastic/any dense material pot at the same time you'll notice the porous or clay pots need to be watered more because the water evaporates through the pot. sabasi thats what i was thinking,i know what you mean texas but i love to take care of my babies no matter how much attention they need i like the love that i get from tending to a plant that i have been on a jurney with.its a cool new idea that im probably going to look at i know healthy roots mean a happy plants,thanks for the input thats why i posted love hearing other perspectives and thats a very valid perspective
sorry about that the pic that i have with the smart pots are a comparison. The one in the middle is the smart pot and the other two are regular pots its not my grow.The train is 0gkush and og isn't thought to be a high yielding plant but it looks very promising sorry ill be more detailed in my future post

I'll heartily agree growing is an addictive hobby. I feel the same way you do about my girls. Killing a male is tough because you've nursed it so long. Good luck, Tex
