What makes this type of greenhouse so nice, is ease of construction and cost. Like I said the pipe, wood, and poly sheeting cost 30 bucks. The sheeting was the most , and there is enough to cover the thing again, or just build a bigger one. I think the instructions for the one from NCSU http://www.bae.ncsu.edu/programs/ext...greenhouse.pdf
are much nicer. Good Luck

I have a Colosseum vertical grow for the winter and this year I put up a 10x14 greenhouse. I'm finding the plants love the green house and grow like the wind. I transplanted the ones wanting to grow big into 10 gallon pots and the rest in 5 gallon. It has a 10.5 mil reinforced plastic cover to, pulled very tight, will last 5 years plus. I have a duel tall boy water filter feeding into a timer swith that feeds the plants daily on schedule through 1/4 inch tubing. It is working out wonderful. I always add micro bacteria, micro fungus, worm castings and keylates when building the soil and they love it. I have 3 in the ground that are doing well but not as nice as in the greenhouse. I'm not sure if it's the auto feeding, the automated temp controller controlling the windows or the fans generating the mass air flow but it's working beyond my hopes. The 10 gallon pots changed the entired growing process. I al so developed these little balls that go under the root mass and is where the water line in attached. This stopped the need for top feeding and allowed me to put a little over an inch of sand on top suffocating the little bugs and it's hatching larva. Which is drilled with only 6 1/4 inch holes in the botton sides for drainage. Next time I'm adding 4 tall plant supporters in the tub to make a square Then create a square using some clear poly. This will let the plants go side by side and help against cross bug infestation.

Well the ground was the way to go. I havent weighed this, but there is more here than I've ever had at one time. Those are 3, 1gal. bottles, 3, 1/2gal. bottles and 3, 1qt bottles. The other shot is the hash from the trim. That I weighed, it game out to 256 grains, thats about 16 grams. this all came from only 4 plants, grown outside. 3 plants were in a greenhouse, the other was next to the wall. The strains were Kushage, Pakastani Valley Kush, Wild Thai, and Sweet Purple. Picture 300.jpg Picture 301.jpg

I'd probably split it up and do some of each... then you'll have a better answer to the question for next season.

The kushage was the biggest plant with the most yield. It filled all three 1gal jugs, and 1 1/2gal bottle. The purple and the thai both filled the other 1/2 gal bottles, the pkk was the smallest plant and i got only a quarts worth. The PVK is the best, I really like that World of Seeds strain. Its not the strongest med Ive ever used, but it has got to be the sweetest, and smoothest stuff around. The sweet purple is good and has a hash taste. The kushage is also preety strong with a hash taste. The thai is also a World of Seeds strain, it doesnt look or taste like any thai ive ever seen. It has a sort of blueberry taste, thats real dank. The hash from the thai trim tastes just like primo hash from the old days. All in all I should have enough so I no longer have to go to the local clinic. Or at least till my room is ready to harvest.

do you have to add artificial lighting to a greenhouse such as this?
if you don't, my next question is, is it uncommon to have a locked greenhouse?
do you think that would be too suspicious?
i'm thinking my wife gets the front half, and i get the back half, lol.

No,extra light. I just watered them everyday, and added some nutes once or twice a week. Toward the end of the season I put a fan in the door flap, cause it was getting cool and humid, and There was some bud rot starting. I dont need a lock I got big dogs, plus im retired so Im home most of the time. As far as the wife all she cares about," is it ripe yet". I would like to add the plastic got ripped to shreads last week . We had some high winds, 30-40 mph gusts, and they distroyed the place. Glad everything was gone.
