Default Mold/rot attack : how to prevent mold and rot? / what causes mold and rot?

I got huge buds outdoors but when I looked closer I realized some of them were filled with mold and rot.

How can I prevent that, what's causing that sh*t ?

I don't know if you can prevent it outside. If so I'd like to know. I'm sure its the humidity and rain that causes it. and I think i read cooler temps cause it but it could have been warmer but i think it was cooler temps.?? I know humidity and rain don't help.
if the buds get super fat then maybe cut pieces off so they can get some air in there to keep it from molding. thats what I did and it seems to be doing fine now.

I have been watching my buds. Had one small spot so far. It happens when they don't at least get a bit dry every day.

Peace

its a combination of temperature and humidity. the more humidity (and rain), the greater the chance for mold/rot. Mold can grow in some cooler temps, but both really thrive in higher temps. i dont mean HOT temps. i mean when it rains, and then its like that 75+ outside and it feels like you are walking into a sauna. you walk outside, and it feels like you instantly start sweatingfrom heat and humidity. yeah....thats exactly how the plants feel too. and then they rot. especially if their roots dont have good drainage either.

It's a fungus called Botrytis, cut all the infected area away, don't be shy, cut, cut, cut.
Botrytis cinerea - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
That stuff will spread VERY fast.

Get a fungicide.

if you have very many plants
by the time you are through trimming them all
you will probably have to start all over
a real race to keep up with

dry out your environment as much as you can
mold loves moisture!
