Rep Power: 45 | | Molasses/sugar at flowering?
I heard it would be good to give molasses/sugar to my plants at flowering, but is it the case if you already have a well planned bloom-nutrients plan for them?
I mean, I'm already putting bud blood first 2 weeks, then big bud and overdrive at the end, while adding Mg (epsom salts) a couple times. is the sugar really necessary then? Anybody chemist enough to tell?
That's about my final concern about the season and I never read anything that answers that very question
Thank you

I am in no way a chemist but I can tell you if your growing in soil and you use molases, your plants will have a burst of growth with every application.
Try a teaspoon per gallon and see what happens

I would try it, it will pull N and Mg up along with tonnes of carbs that will kick your babies bud's butt
I know that it can slow flowering in the first 2 weeks of flower due to the nitrogen it holds, later on this changes as the plant uses all N up - first by shooting up and then thru bud grows - so that neither soil nor normal feeding would do a thing and so the fan leaves turn yellow. In the final days of flower is this a good thing but in week 3 to 6 (some sativa 12-14) a disaster that can be avoided by feeding molasses in that time along with the normal fertilizer.
With outdoor plants you also have to first check for ans close by, if there is a colony close by they could be attracted by the molasses smell and either dig thru the soil damaging drinking roots on the search for sugar crystals or the wore option, start to farm bugs on your plant.

There are people that feed it thru out the entire grow or thru flush - it surely doesn't do any harm to your plant.

I use Sugar Daddy throughout the whole cycle. More for late flower. Even if you use other products the sugar or molasses still helps the buds bulk up.

Using carbs is new to me. I didn't pay attention to the technology for a while and it was one of the things that creeped in while I was away.
So, what's the low-down? Are table sugar and molasses gonna get the same results? If so, sugar is all carbon and hydrogen atoms - no nitrogen, at all. Wouldn't that be a better choice?

i use 1 tablespoon (TBSP) per gallon through the whole grow usually every other watering. then during the last two weeks its 2-3 tablespoons. dont forget to heat up water then put molasses in. DONT get the hot water from the tap because it has mineral build up. i usually grab a large microwaveable bowl, put it in with water for a few minutes, then add in my molasses, mix until its back to room temp, then add back to my watering jug. from there i add nutes and test pH/PPM
