Anyone growing outdoors should know its time to start spraying for Army Worms and other Bud Eating worms.

You will see holes in the leaves and what looks like burnt spots on the immature buds and tiny black spots on the leaves, which is their poop! Mid July is when I start spraying my outdoor plants with Safer Caterpillar Killer. The active ingredient is Bacillus Thurigensis and It only affects the Worms. The Ants, Bees, Spiders, Lady Bugs and everything else in the garden are Not affected at all. If you dont do something to stop the Army Worms now, they will get inside your buds and eat them from the inside out. Its very depressing to pull a giant bud and it has been destroyed by worms.

Good Luck and Enjoy!
