Group Outdoors Thread of 2009 /Outdoors in Ontario
Hi everyone,
i've been growing off and on now for 17 years. I thought it would be fun to get a group thread together to compare notes. I welcome anybody to feel free to join me and add your own pictures etc to this thread. I meant for this to be a group thread for everyone to participate in if you so chose.
This year i did not get ahead start on my outdoor grow as i was expecting to become legal but due to unexpected events, it all fell through.
After trying to follow the MMAR program and realizing it just wasn't working for me, decided to take all the extra clones I had and plant them outdoors.
The strains i have planted outdoors are not all intended for outdoors or even my area but since i was going to throw them out anyway, decided to find some suitable places and planted them outdoors.
All of these strain are feminized for obvious reasons and the strains vary greatly.
List of strains put out for experimentation:
NYC diesel by Soma
Strawberry Cough by Dutch Passion
Nepal kush By Flying Dutchmen...I think
Jack Herer by Sensi
Jack Flash by Sens
Chocolope by DNA Genetics
Orange Bud by Dutch Passions
NOTE: many of these NOT recommended for outdoors. This is an experiment to see if and how they grow and harvest
They were all clones vegged for at least two weeks indoors before putting them out. Others are 4 to 6 weeks old so they are all at different stages of growing. All have been started in an organic soil mix before planting outdoors. Every so often they get fed some aquarium water but otherwise are watered from the rain.
The Chocolope clearly does not do good in direct sun and i added a pic of this just to show you. She is the one that is all crinkled up as her leaves are disintegrating. Yes it is a sad sight to view but it is done for a learning experience. I just HAD to know.
If i can think of any others that i have outside I will add them here.
I can pick out some of the strains but not all of them

I wasn't sure if we were suppose to add our plants to your thread or not,, but now that I know, here is a few of mine,, the tall one is growing two to three inches each night, I am 5"6 and it has shot up past me. The other one got a slow start so she is quite small but still going good. I planted among a patch of black berry bushes and the berries are getting ready to be eaten. Reminds me of when I was a kid picking the berries down in the woods were we lived. All of us kids made mazes thru out the patches of berries, it was one of my most remembered cherished time way back when.

Yes thanks Deb. That was my fault as i didn't really explain enough. Yes i would LOVE for anyone to add any of their pictures or anything to this thread. I'm used to doing a group outdoor thread and this was my third and i forgot since I was the one 'starting' the thread that i had better explain it better than i did.
The thread is meant to be a group thread where anybody growing any type of strain outdoors can add their own pictures and posts to it explaining their own grow. I think it is interesting in that we all get to see different strain grown in different areas from all over the world.(perhaps????....ok maybe pushing it a tad...)
The strains I have growing outdoors are NOT the ones i chose for my particular area. I just had too many and needed to get rid of some so decided to just plant them outdoors instead of throwing them out. Some may not do well in this area but it will still be interesting to see what ones do and what ones don't. They all are feminized at least so it takes the guess work out of it.
Hey Lucky....for sure; i'd love to see any pics and its great to know who is from ontario here. I know j angel is.
Thanks in god we trust....yes it is summer and I am even moving slowing here . I've always gone completely organic but have never done organic indoors until this year. Now I do all organic and i can't believe the difference in smoothness and taste. It might be a tad stinky at times BUT it is so well worth it
Thanks chuck.. Oh cool; another fellow canadian I look forward to hearing from other canadians especially wanting to know about your weather.
Hi shinningwind Thanks a lot. I am going to try and keep this thread as updated as needs be Unfortunately the chocolope does NOT do well outdoors at all and I strongly do not suggest it. Later on i will show you pics for a comparison. I added it to these pictures but did not specify which one it was so I will do so later on. It really is quite interesting
btw Deb....i can relate to that feeling. These are the smallest ones I have had out yet so far . There are times when I have planted some and not had a chance to visit them until the end of the year and when i have gone back , i have looked down when really I should have been looking up. Oh yes once nice sized plants start growing they can get HUGE
Don't ya just LOVE it....heeeheee
Thanks again people. I will not disappoint you

Nice plants dankstarr ...I ran the mendo indoors before and took it all the way to the end...it taste good but packs a weak stone so i let it go.Got any info on that MOP?
I picked up MOP in the 90'S some farmer friend from up state NY.. I love it I'v been growing and crossing it with other strains for years it a sweet taste it finishes in Sept. and here in the great northeast its a good thing to harvest befor to many hunters got out in the woods..it a plesant smoke.. good harvest.. I have a Donkey D**K x Mop that will yeald almost a pound and a half per plant... but again on the down side its not super powerful plant and it grow real big .. it dose induce munchies though and some times thats what i'm looking for.. It's a hard strain to cross..it like to be predomininate.. and it tends to run the Pheno type game.. avg. hight is 6' to 8'.. and it dose not like to be grown indoors.. dont know why, but I'v passed this seed in it orignial form to a group of friends and we all had the same resluts.. herm. but outdoor it is a very nice New England additive... The bud cluster and all pistol are completely purple.. sometime hints of red.. I'v gladly keep this seed to make clones every spring and every year ... people keep asking for them
