Hello all,
Its been a great year in the Emerald Triangle, a larger than expected harvest. A bumper crop i think the term is. It has taken over 150 person hours to complete the trim. Details and up close pictures to follow.

Ok Folks,
I want to show you all how we do the harvest thing in The Emerald Triangle.
My first step is to take the best of the best, buds off the top, I call that the top harvest. So with the best buds off the plant, we do a full manicure and break them down into the consistent sized buds. Then the buds are moved to the drying racks as shown below. I realize that this method is different, but I have found that this method is the most efficient and the buds are handled one less time, I think that is a good thing.

togp10202.jpg
Now that the top harvest is complete, and in the drying shed, I let the plants recover for a week and the buds that were below the top harvest are now the new tops. Letting them mature for a week increases the yield. This year the weather has been excellent, and I have been able to harvest the tops 3 times. We've had only one rain storm.
So in the racks above are the weekends harvest, each rack holds about 2.5 lbs. and after about a week the medicine is ready to help us b-well.
So fellow GP members if your in the Northern California area pop in to some of the compassion clubs and you may taste a little, Miles High, Trainwreck, Maui Waui. StrawberryCough and some Hindu Kush.
I sure enjoyed showing you all this years grow somewhere in THE EMERALD TRIANGLE
