Unhappy Death pics of two ten foot tall cannabis plants

They have been fooling me right along. Yesterday there was no evidence to the casual eye. So I was standing on the deck this afternoon, lookin up at the tops of the plants and it caught my eye, a little pyramid of balls.
OH OH, what do I want to do. I have been thinking of seeding a couple just for the heck of it to see what would come out, but the wrong plants turned into boys. Oh well, I won't lose much, the empty space will soon be filled in by the rest of the neighborhood hehehe.

One was a strain called Papaya and the other is ? I guess you call it bagseed.
The Papaya is some real good smoke, still have 3 of those and a couple of others.

those male parts sure can grow rapidly...I only wish I was refering to myself and not MJ...ah to be 40 again and have the potency...but I digress...I've seem similar males outdoors...one day who knows...and a few days later pollen bags all over the place...RIP you males...your deaths serve a greater purpose.

Hey folks

Hope I'm not butting in here.
I have a ? along these lines.
If you guys recall I am a new member and growing some seeds 2 to be exact from my pack of HGS super mix pack from highgrade. These were the two smallest seeds from my pack. unfortunatly my grow log got lost at highgrade. which is no big deal in the midst of redoing, But my question is. my two monster pets here are or should say have shown there sex Jainy started showing pistols on July 22, and has not really gone into a full blown bud stage do to light factor being grown outdoors. Merry I thought because of the fullness of this plant I thought would have been a girl but to my surprise as of monday . I have learnt that merry is a merv.
So what I am wondering is because Jainy has not gone into full bud stage , no trichs yet , if I was to let Merv Shake rettle and dance a bit once his balls are ripe, if only the pistols that are seen will devolope seeds and not effect the rest of the bud . I will remove him once I figure he has given enough to Jainy.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
Cheers Shinningwind

Hey there Ms Wind. If you leave Merv anywhere near Jainy all buds will be pollinated. You could possibly wait until the last minute, collect pollen, kill merv and fertilize the buds you wanted. I think thats how it goes. There is a section here about pollination, seeding etc. Look for it ,you'll get more familiar with the site. Remember there is a search engine too.

my question is.

males often but not always show sex first

I have an friend that grow outdoors and claims a male as far as 1/4 mile away can seed up a girl
I don't know if that is true but certainly a male in the the same proximity can and will..

If you have no tolerance for seeds get that male out of there as just a few sunny warm days can make him happy to cast his genetic potential to the winds

But if you don't mind some of your own seeds you can take down the plant safely and store some of the pollen short term in a dry cool place for spot applications

vids sticky on the subject http://www.greenpassion.org/f25/coll...le-pollen-177/

Yes, try and save some pollen if you can. You too, WB. All you have to do is cut off one flowering spike full of pollen sacs. Then kill the plant, you don't need it anymore. Vid has a great post about this but I will give you the short version. 2 plastic cups the same size and a piece of plastic wrap. Fill cup one half way with water. Poke hole in bottom of cup 2, with a bit of room so it does not crush stem. Put stem through cup hole, with layer of plastic in between cups, inside, so water does not fill up second cup. poke small hole threw plastic put stem through and set in window. pollen collects in second cup and God's your uncle, ya got pollen to save and apply to any friendly buds you want seeds from. with a small brush is good. keeps for a year or so in cool dark place.

Peace

Wink Papaya pollen

Hey, thanx all. I wasn't gonna but I did, collect some pollen from the Papaya plant male. Some sites advertise the strain as Mango. Does a job on my neuropathy. This will be interesting as I have some nice ladies to cross him to.
White Widow, Purple Kush, MTF and of course my other Papayas and the 20 year old purple bagseed. Here's a couple of pics of the clippings and a pic of my other big girl Minnie, Great Pyranees, 135 lbs.

LOVE your dog. I have many and love them all. Anyone with a dog is good by me.

If you can get a higher cup around that wb, it will work better. Then the pollen stays in the cup. I am collecting it for a friend. Peace

Yeah... Sucks don't it?

All that hard work raising beautiful plants from seed, only to have them ungrateful
-ers to pop nuts on ya!

Yes, pollen can carry a long ways in the wind.
