Smile Branch repair

I mess with my plants too much and broke a large branch from one of my plants. It didn't break all of the way off just peeled down the side.
I hung the branch in the right place, then beginning from the bottom of the tear, wrap wire around the tear and tighten it up working your way up to the top of the tear. It doesn't take a lot. This happened over a month ago and I did not get even 1 yellow leaf out of it. I'm pretty lucky. I did this immediately if it happened and I did not take care of it for days I am sure the branch would have died.

Yes, pot is a weed ya know! LOL! I use electrical tape, it works great and does not stick to the plant. One thing, I would try to get that wire off there. It could kill the plant above the damage as it grows. Like this first picture. Here are also some repairs I have made. If you don't take the wire off it will cut through the cambriam layer (the layer just inside the bark of the plant) cutting off all nutrients to the top growth. This is what happened to the tree and it died above where the string was. Same thing.

P.S. the affect on the plant is like supercropping so the growth above the damage will accelerate and the plant will bush out more.

Wink It's ok

The plant is not growing / thickening any longer and all are flowering so I am not too worried and will probably leave it like it is just to see for myself. The electrical tape thing is good but my tape sticks to the plant LOL (I've been an electrician for 38 years). I have used it too along with 1/8" stainless steel wire for support.

Thanx

This has happened to me from time to time too, I think it happens to everyone at some point. No worries though.

Pot plants are very tough, what I do is take a piece of a straw, slice it up one side to make a splint, place it over the affected area, than wrap with scotch tape, in one week, its all healed.
Peace
