Question Where can I buy...net pots, hydrotone

Hi all,

Anyone know where I might be able to buy some net pots other than a hydro shop? I know I can buy them online but I need something local. Same goes with Hydroton. The hydro shop noids me out bigtime and I'd rather not go there unless I have no other options. I live near a relatively large city and figure there's gotta be some garden shops that might sell both items. I'm on the east coast.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

-the Corsican.

Volcanic landscape rocks in place of hydroton. Avoid the dyed/painted ones.

or...some 1/2"'ish smoothe "river rock"...also from a garden center/nursery

A pond supply/fish store may have mesh baskets.

for online...try the same kinda places. Dr's foster & Smith....the Pond guy... all should have something you can use/substitute for hydro

depending on how you run....SWIM has rented cars/borrowed cars from friends who don't grow to go to the hydro shop. (yer car is in the shop, remember?)

Not fool-proof....but both scenarios are more of a hassle to track for po-po who would rather swill coffee and eat doughnuts and take down the easy marks.

FWIW...HIDHUT (a sponsor) ships discreetly...no "FROM THE HYDRO STORE" crapola on the shipping box/etc.

good luck

make your own. buy some cheap plastic mugs that are about 4-6 inches in diameter, and then use a knife or (my preference) a Dremel and cut out holes just like a mesh pot. its a delicate task that will take some time....but always an option. only other thing i can thing of is to see if your local grocery store has a small pasta or lettuce strainer that could be cut and modified to fit in a bucket. good luck my friend
