Rep Power: 0 | | whats up with my aurora indicas????
well the short and skinny is this is my first grow ever and im growing bubbleponics. the plants in the picture are days 35 being the biggest, day 26 being the 2nd biggest, and day 21 being the smallest all from seed. the smallest two are obviously way behind? the only thing i have done different is on number 1 i am only using distilled water and the other two im using tap water. could that be the reason why they are taking so much longer to grow? any advice would be appreciated... |

Hey brother,
Something to think about concerning distilled water:
Distilled water leeches nutrients and minerals out of the human body and should only be consumed if your attempting to detoxify your body. It would make sense that the same thing applies to plants. If distilled water leeches nutrients and minerals from our bodies (which are mainly composed of water just as plants are) then it might not be the best idea to use distilled water. I know a lot of people recommend using distilled water but maybe they're just unaware of its leeching properties? You know how it goes, people start copying what other people are doing and the next thing you know it becomes mainstream.
Any other arguments for or against the use of distilled water are welcome. I'm here to learn.

No,
Distilled water is purified by changing the water from a liquid into steam and then back into a liquid again. By changing the water into steam all of the heavier elements are left behind, basically the ones that are harmful to us.

you can disinfect water by using UV light, the easiest method is to let the sun shine on clear bottles filled with water. an other easy method is the use of H2O2, but on the other hand does you water need to that sterile?
