Rep Power: 28 | | What kind of filter should I use for intake?
I'm sucking air straight from outside via a 6" 445 CFM inline fan and need something that will not only prevents leaves and dust from coming in, but also mold and disease. Right now, this method of intake is the only thing that is working, but if anyone has ideas, please shoot them my way!!(Ive tried passive...just not enough fresh air coming in.) Also, its getting cold where iam, so I have to shut off the intake when the lights are off. (2-600W HPS).
Anyways, if anyone could recommend a good filter for this, that would be groovy:afro:

Rep Power: 201 | | Not at all, that's why you see lawn mowers using a lot of foam prefilters. They are hard to clog and easy to clean. | | The Following User Says Thank You to Zigzagman For This Useful Post:

Rep Power: 201 | | It will help block light to an extent. If you use something like this dryer vent, with the foam it blocks light quite well. No light will wiggle thru this combo, mount foam over both openings and viola... a cheap light trap. | | The Following 2 Users Say Thank You to Zigzagman For This Useful Post:

not sure that filter will do much for mold, but as far as dirt and debris is concerned its pretty good. I have that covering the space between the bottom of the door and the floor on my grow room... I use it as a passive intake cause my fan is changing the air in there about once over 20-30 min. The grow space is very small...lol
