Again, thanks for the help, J-angel. I'll be sure to keep GP updated as we move forward with this project.

That one plant (pic # three) has a beautiful structure. I bet it will be a heavy yielder!
Good luck,
-the Corsican.

Good luck,
-the Corsican. | Thank you. Yes, I believe the yield will be very satisfactory. Trichomes are beginning to become visible, the beginnings of a sticky glaze. I will brush up on my macro imagery and try to update in a week or so - Hopefully, with some hi-res close-ups. *Kudos to Jangel for hooking me up with the arrangements of images within a post!! Can anyone point me in the direction of some tips on Cannabis "Glamor Shots and Close-ups" - How to?

Rep Power: 19 | | The Brainstorm update
Just wanted to post some pics of what use to be my "Mother" to the Brainstorm family I have been propagating for the past several months. She is now at 7' tall and buds are beginning to develop, along with a nice glaze. Unfortunately, I have yet to master the trichome imagery , but for now I am happy with results.
Last week a CO2 enrichment system was introduced to the flowering room. I am grateful for the member that provided me the link to calculating CO2 flow rates.
I'll update again in a couple of weeks.

-the Corsican. | Thanks for checking in and the compliments. Yes, she is looking quite majestic in her glazed glory. I'd like to learn how guys like Hatch get the awesome hi-res close-ups and trichome images.
Corsican - I still can't view any pics on your "First Grow" journal???? I even installed a new browser to see if that would remedy the issue.....No such luck! You have inspired me to put together a Hydro system. I have decided to go with the NFT set-up, and have purchased all the necessary materials. Will hopefully begin the build next week, although presently my veg and flower rooms are full.
Sure would like to be able to view your pics!
Have a great weekend.

A few other people have said the same thing yet there are still others who can view the pics without any trouble. It's frustrating the hell out of me! Take a trip to the hydro section Moto and then click on the Thread "Definite Problems" and see if you can view the pics I posted there. Maybe that'll shed some light on what the problem may be? If you can see the pics there but not in my grow journal it might help to solve the problem.
I'm glad I inspired somebody to do something!
Any reason you decided on NFT? If I had the money I would probably go with a flood & drain system but that's just me. Res temps aren't really all that important and the draining action pulls a lot of oxygen down into the roots. I think I'm gonna go this route in the summer because I'm not sure I'll be able to keep sufficient res temps in the summer using a DWC bubbler system.
This is all premature since I haven't even finished one successful grow yet but it's interesting to talk about. Maybe "SomeDude" can help me out. He's the computer guru for GP so hopefully he can help with my pic problems.
I can't wait to see some pics of your new system. Are you going to do a step by step photo shoot so people can see how to build an NFT or are you going to show us the finished system only? Either way is cool with me but it would be nice to see a step by step deal so other people could learn how to build one.
You too man,
-the Corsican.

Why the Flood & Drain? What are the advantages w/ that application?

Hey Moto,
Flood & Drain ( Ebb & Flow):
Res temps aren't as sensitive in E&F as they are in DWC Bubblers.
The Drain cycles pull lots of oxygen through the grow medium (Hydroton or whatever you want to use).
You can move the plants around where in other systems it can become difficult to do that.
It's a very simple system to use and uses less power then DWC (No air pumps needed even though some people still prefer to use them).
