Rep Power: 175 | | South of The Emerald Triangle
Fellow GP members, BREAKING NEWS! I have decided to create this thread to show you all my new grow room as it is being built. Soon I will be constructing my room that will provide more quality indoor smoke for the compassion clubs in Northern California.
So folks stay tuned, and hold on as I construct a 10'x10'x8' grow room, somewhere South of the Emerald Triangle.
Note: This build complies with all county regulations as per prop 215 and SB420
As always suggestions and comments are very welcome.
Hope you enjoy,
GSR

DieAbetic,
I had fun showing my outdoor grow last summer, (The Emerald Triangle) I decided to show my new indoor room construction, and I will be posting pictures of the whole process.
Should be fun.

Rep Power: 175 | | Step one complete
A quick update here, my new grow room was delivered and installed today without a hitch, there was a threat of rain but it held off. I am happy about today's accomplishments.
Now the next step is electrical, plumbing and ventilation. I am planning to get that done in the next week or so and will update. In general this is what I have planned. This room will contain 30 plants in flower at 3 cycles per year, using the following, but not limited to, 4-1000mh/hps/switchable HID's Also I am planning to have a mother/cloning area within the same area, could get complicated we'll see. Allot more later got to get my grove on. (G-Out)

WOW GSR! I finally get out of behind the scenes and lookie lookie! This is exciting, my friend! Can't wait to see what a fine grower does. I am thinking on how you prepared your beds outside over years, so bit by bit, I will see what I can do to mine....
Now going to pick your brains on inside growing, My dear friend!
....pulling up a chair, my dear one.
Peace

Hello All,
I am just about finished with my new grow room and thought an update would be appropriate at this time.
This first pic is of the bare bone shed just after delivery and assembly, so this was my starting point. togp1.jpg
Next is after I prewired, insulated, put backing in the proper places and other odds and ends. togp2.jpg
This is a close up of the new subpanel in the process of the final hookups. togp3.jpg
Next is my completed fan and filter assembly with 2 of the 4 1000 watters togp4.jpg
Here is a pic of 2 lights with yoyos, they make it easy to adjust the height of the lights as the plants require.
Also you will notice I installed two green bulbs, so I can work while the lights are out. well see? togp5.jpg
Here are the ballasts I am using, I chose these so I can veg with mh if a choose to. togp6.jpg
This is the bulb I installed to test the system. togp8.jpg
Now here is the test with all the lighting fired up. I have some final details to complete like, the outside air intake and some sort of waterproof floor covering. As with every room there are changes to come I'll keep updating. togp10.jpg

G,
Let me say i personally enjoy watching you do your growing work...i consider good gardening an art and i cannot wait to see the next portion of this. Keep it coming! this one is going to be a growers Mona Lisa. (IMHO)
Those ballasts are so nice! along with the those 1000 watter's and easy pulley system. that room is going to be running pretty darn good. did you paint the interior yourself?
What are your plans? Have you decided on any select strains you'll be going with and mothers you'll be keeping? Im pretty excited about this one man, its gunna be oh so sweet. I look forward to more to come, G. Awesome.

Ice,
Thanks for all the kind words. I enjoy showing my project. Yes I do all the work my self, ive been in construction since the mid 80's lots of experience.
Here in northern California any purple strain is very popular, I plan to have a couple of mothers in there making little ones constantly. The first run I'll probably buy cuttings from my compassion club, while looking for the prefect strain,

Ice,
Not sure yet, but I am going to meet with a fellow compassion club grower that I respect, and will copy his. I spoke with him briefly and he described a part A,B,C, 123 setup. I'll write a note reminding me to let you know. This may sound out there but his last run he got over 6 lbs, with 4 1000w hps ;)

Lookin' really fine, G. Very clean job and well laid out. I am not familiar with the yo yo hangers you are using. I guess this is not a girl thing! LOL! I gather they go up and down easily. Are you attaching exhasut lines to your lights as well to cool them? They look like air cooled hoods.
Peace

Jangle,
Yes the yoyos, allow me to raise and lower the lights easily and they stay put, there is a wingnut on the device to adjust the tension according to the weight of the light. Ya it's kinda un-necessary but they sure make it convienent, I'll do somthing else the hard way lol. I am going to connect and exhaust the lights asap. I had the room lit up for an hour and the temp went up to 76deg without outside air. So I am going to get some outside air and then see. All I need now is some cuttings.
