Rep Power: 197 | | My First Indoor Grow (ICE and B52) - Comments Welcome!
ok so this is my first thread. im a newb and am trying to complete my first harvest! i started last summer outdoors and had some great results....sadly about 3 months in (3-4 weeks away from harvest!) some bastard stole my crop. so i have moved on from outdoor and started my first indoor set up.
-Set Up-
Dual Ebb n Flow
1x 1000 Watt MH
1x 1000 Watt HPS
1x Ez cloner 120 ------- AMAZING
1x dehumidifier
2x Fans for circulation
1x Exhaust fan for exhaust
1x Intake fan for intake
1x Light Mover (Track)
so now that you know what im working with i ordered 20 seeds from a reliable seed bank.
10 - Ice (white strain)
10- B52
I germinated all 20 and threw them all in one of my ebb n flow trays. Beautiful results. I had them in veg for about 5 weeks and then labeled them and took clones. Filled up my ez cloner 120. Figured since i have not yet seen a first crop i can not throw away these original mothers. so i have the 1000 W hps over them flowering and have the 1000 w MH over 60 clones (ratio was about 50/50 male vs female). Kept 8 out of the 20 seeds that i started. 4 B52 girls and 4 Ice girls. They are about a week into flowering. Roots have started to develope on the clones in the ez cloner so i figure in about 5 more days i will be putting them into 2 ebb n flow trays and starting them under the MH on a track.
considering this is only my 2nd grow and that i havnt yet been able to get a harvest i was wondering wut potential yeilds i could see. Im going to flower clones when they hit 12 inches.
Thats all i have for now. ill be putting up some pic's of the clones in veg and the originals flowering. They are already smelling wonderful!!!! i can not wait to taste the final product
Any comments are welcome! Help a newb out. THanks! |

I've never grown any of those strains, but I know others here have many times.
Sounds like a Class "A" grow set-up you have! Would love to see some pics of how you have it all set up, etc.
BTW, !!
ISO - doesn't know much but always here to chat!

Sweet setup my friend, you've been studying I see.
My only critique would be with that much light, you could grow em a bit larger.
So far as yeild, theres too many variable's to say, but theres no reason a beginner shouldnt get close to 2 oz's per plant. However, in your case, hopefully more.
Yeah, you got any pics?

thanks for the replys guys! yes i have been studying im determined to see a crop lol. Im still a little nervous about making it to the harvest but so far so good.
my ebb trays are 3 ft x 3 ft and i have 4 of them. they hold 30, 5 in. round pots which im filling with hydroton (clay pellets) and 1 rockwool cube each. I have a nice amount of space available for my set up but i feel as if i might not be using all my space to my best advantage. ill def put up some pic's tomorrow to give you all a visual.
i would be happy to see 2 ounce per plant that would be pretty sweeeet. Another thing i was thinking about is if 1x 1000 w MH can handle 60 girls? Any thoughts? Thanks for the replies! Keep Em ComIn.

my plan is to have my veg room with 60 girls in veg while i have 60 more flowering...hopefully a perpetual cycle of harvest every 8-9 weeks. im still in the process of trying to section off my room for a veg and bloom area. Anyone looking for great cloning results do yourself a favor...buy the Ez Cloner. i Simply cut them, dipped em, and put them in the cloner. 12 days later mass roots! i love it
Any thoughts on all this? Am i trying to do too much?

Not a big fan of light movers, I would recomend investing that same money into another light instead and a good exhaust. Just my 2 cents worth.

prune leaves that are on the off chutes, only the 4th set of leaves and below. prune before you switch to the flowering photoperiod, so you dont stunt growth and chance stressing into a hermie, while the plant is already going through an important change. you can also supercrop to improve yields. check out my thread on supercropping in the advanced techniques section.

a good setup of air-cooled lights is cheaper to buy and maintain, and more effective too! go with video on this please.

and on this strains, i guess this gonna be your first grow so go with northern light if you can since it is the easiest to grow strain of all four and still has a more then decent potency
WW and K2 can both be damn good indicas but are a pain to grow well.

FAQ says --- A light mover can increase the coverage of a light by 140%. The real advantage is MUCH more light is available to the plants when the light is in motion. With a stationary light all that is shaded will remain in the shade, but with a mover the light will hit from different angles giving better coverage.
Also i have read you can have the light closer to the canopy if its moving on a track.
Let me know what you think...so far i havnt had problems with mine i was actually considering buying another one for my flowering room. I would rather put the money towards another light and exhaust but i dont know if my electric can handle that much juice. i am already running 2x 1000 watt lamps and i get a little worried about blowing the fuse constantly and my gals suffering the effects if im not around to notice it. Thanks for your imput tho hopefully mine will hold up.

Thats gotta be hard to take. I had deer get 2 and somebody chopped 1. Fortunately, I managed to harvest about 1/2 of the 1 that got poached.

what your lookin at there is 5 AK-48 gals started in the middle of may outdoors. The pic's here are takin in the 1st week of aug.
I kept them on the flora 2 pt. veg n bloom nutes along with a once a week spray of neem oil mixed with SM-90 for critters. I was devestated when i went back to my spot and they were all clipped down the the very bottom.
The harvest would have truely been a great one. i will def be getting some more AK-48 seeds in the future. I have needed to get that off my chest to some1 for a while now thanks!
