Rep Power: 125 | | My first 100% indoor grow
So, my last grow was a combo CFL/outdoor grow with some decent bagseed. This grow, I decided to take it 100% indoor. There were 3 main reasons for this - the weather here in South Florida is brutal this time of year with day time highs in the low-to-mid 90s (F) and constant afternoon thunder storms and heavy rain; the constant stress of moving the plants in and out each morning and evening without getting busted was just becoming too much; and the spider mite attacks from my last grow just sealed it for me.
So, I procured a 400W MH light and bought myself a cabinet, which I converted to a grow chamber. I have 3 girls vegging now for the last 30 days. 2 Master Kush and 1 Early Misty, all from Nirvana. The plants are about 12-14" tall and looking real good. The MKs have a nice strong marijane odor but nothing so far from EM.
I am supposed to be getting a 400w HPS this weekend and I plan on taking one clone each from the girls and vegging for a week then flowering. My goal is to have smokable herb by Mid-November, maybe late October.

Rep Power: 2340 | | WoW, I am impressed! You'll actually do better inside, outdoor sun, does promote a lil stretching. Keep up the great work dude!
Looks like a nice soil mix you got there too. Peace

Thanks, guys. I still have a long ways to go on this. The medium is MG organic soil with perlite and vermiculite in a 5-1-1 ratio. I transplanted these girls 12 days ago into 2 gallon pots, so no nutes as of yet but I have given them Superthrive 3 times (1/4 tsp per gallon). I'll slowly introduce FF Grow Big next week.
Meanwhile, my grow box still is incomplete. I am still waiting on my exhaust fan and I have some duct work to do.

when do you plan on throwing them in 12/12? i made the mistake of not transplanting mine into a larger pot before flower. she quickly out grew her 4 gal pot.

Hempie, my plan is to vegg these moms at least a few more days and then take a 4"-6" clone from each. I'll vegg these for about a week to establish the root structure and a little more height and then put them into flower. I figure if I have 6"-8" clones in flowering, I should end up with about a 12"-18" flowered plant. My target is to harvest 2-4 oz wet from each and to flower 3 clones at a time until I reach my target of 12-16 oz cured bud. Then I'll quit growing for 3-4 months, then start up again.
PJ, did you mean Superthrive or Super grow? 2 different things.

On this grow i only vegged them for 25 days.. 8 inches and now at 8 weeks 12-12 they are just over 2ft with great colas.. maybe 1-1/2 ounces per plant.
Last grow I vegged for 2 months.. they were 2ft.. ended up 6ft tall and got about 3 ounces per plant.
It is much easier to handle the shorter gals even know i have the hieght.

The smaller ones together are 25 day veg and the other 2 are the 2 month 6 footers. I could grow 12 small gals and only 6 big ones.

No problem PJ. In regards to your question, it's really up to you. 18" plants would give you 3'-4' plant. If you continued vegging and LST'ed or FIMMed the plant, you could keep the plant shorter. The longer you vegg them and allow them to reach peak maturity, the bigger and higher in THC your buds will be when you flower. Think of a teenager compared to a mature adult giving birth - same concept with the plant.

That's strain specific and in some cases even plant specific. I'd say at 5 weeks and 18" you could go ahead and flower. I flowered my last grow at 6 weeks and was very happy with the results. Good luck!
