Default To much Nitrogen?

I have 2 ATF currently in veg, and they have been doing wonderful...till about 2 days ago.

These were 4" tall clones on the 11th, and now are pushing 12" (or more). They have grown well, and I gave each a 1/3 dose of nutes about 3 days ago. Since then, they have gotten darker green (real dark) and are kinda lifeless. Oh...they are alive, but just really kinda hangin' there...

All else is good...soil drains well, Ph of the water and soil is good...plenty of light.

I was planning to leach (flush) them here in about 10 min,, but thought "What the Hell"...and asked here before I started flushing them out and letting them dry out for a week before they can continue to veg.

One was transplanted just a couple days ago, the other has been in the 3 gal. sq. pot for a week - both have moist soil around them, now. They are awfully dark green, and not as happy looking as they have been.

A good flush never hurt...I'll do one and then see how it is feeling tomorrow.

Ice,

I did a bit of checking with my moisture probe, and found that while the soil in the bottom was wet, the soil in the first inch or so under the plant was bone dry. Meaning, the soil they were transplanted into was moist (I pre-moisten it before transplant and blend it up good) , but the soil that went with it in the transplant (all of the 6" posts soil) has dried out, and they don't have roots enough to reach down yet.

I gave them each about 3 cups, mostly over the middle area of the pot so it can soak that upper soil real well. They should perk up here in a few hours...if not, it's the Leaching Rack for 'em!

Thanks Bonghitter!! Kinda proud of my little gals.

ICE turned out to be the Wizard...

Somehow, I just had not considered that these gals might just be thirsty...LOL!! Soil at the bottom of the pot was plenty damp, but since these had just been transplanted they didn't have any roots down that far yet...so, I gave each one about a quart of H2O right down the middle...within a couple hours they were happy and reaching for the lights..

All is well. Next time they wake up it will be under T-5's instead of the 600W MH conversion...hoping for great things from the T-5's! (8 4' lamps all 6500k)

Yes, sometimes we reach for complicated answers and it turns out to be just something basic! Glad it was a simple answer.

They look really purdy, ISO! How old are those girls?

The little ones up from were potted on the 16th, and the rest went into the soil on on the 11th...so almost 3 weeks now. Seems they are liking the new T-5s..everyone is perked right up! The one in the middle-back was potted on the 28th of Apr. and is now in flower.
