Question I have a question......

.......I have a cabinet that I would like to grow in to be more on the safe side, it's perfect except for one thing, it's 2ft(L)x3ft(W)x2ft(H).
Yeah, I know, that's small as shit, but if you look at it inside and out, it's very doable, just tight.
My question is, how do I train it to grow more like a bush instead of a "tree"?
I've heard of cannabis bonsai grows, but good luck finding a how to.
So, anyone got any ideas?

peace,
theFATMAN

P.S.
I should mention that I plan on getting a "armoire" to grow in later, but that's really all I have option-wise at the moment.

Fatman,

I would grow a few small plants in a 2' high spot...and definately use T-5's! You can fit a 6 lamp 2' T5 fixture on the top of the box, then once rooted (clones) put the plants immediately into flower. You might have to do some LST'ing, but I bet you can grow some decent little nugs in there!

Use shorter, but wider pots, allowing room for root growth and keeping things as short as possible to allow more room for plant height.

BTW, my last harvest of the ebb/flo had 3 plants...tallest was about 26" (top of the tray to top of plant)...and I actually got more bud off the shorter one (19"). Total was 5 1/4 oz., so yes, smaller plants can be done, and done well!

Do you really think I would be able to grow a couple of plants?
Cool, I thought I was gonna be limited to one.
Another question, would it be better to do soil for this experiment? And if so, would it limit the roots growth if I made a "planter" that would have the same length and width dimensions to fit snug in the bottom of the cabinet?

thanks,
theFATMAN

OH Fatman! Stop messing with my head trying to read stuff! Ya big kid! It is 6:00 in the am so I am not reading things properly as it is!

Yes, it can be done. Okay, as far as LST'ing: Read my first grow journal. I have LST'ed many plants, in a simple way. I can keep my plants less than 18 inches tall from the bottom of the planter to the top of the leaves. With T'5's you will not have as much heat to worry about, and the plants can grow right into the bulbs with no harm. Easier to vent as well. Check out HTG for the t-5's. Also, RCDunn's journal, his plants are all grown under t'5's. For you, down in the states, they are not overly expensive. If you must you can wait till you are ready to flower to get the flower tubes. I have 6500k tubes in mine, the veg ones, and it is super. Just make damn sure you put drainage in the planter and a catch container for the driping water or you will have a mess and your nieghor's below you will have a leak. Once your plants are growing well you will not want to lift them out and in everytime you water. Try to have 2 plants the same size, less competion for root space. Not much you can do if you start from seed and they are different sizes. You could even put some kind of divider in the container to keep most of the roots on the right side, like a piece of plastic something, a wall, like plastic sign board or something. It would work for most of them anyway.
Hope that helps you sweetie.

I use the 8 LampT5's and even those can burn so make sure if you do grow there you have good air movement. I was under the illusion that those lights wouldn't burn. Dope Dope Dope, me not the herb. hehehe
