Rep Power: 12 | | Help With Soil and Nute Choice
Hello everyone. I have six plants vegging right now. They have about an even canopy ranging from 16" to 18" tall. They have slightly sparse vegetation because they are under CFL's but they are very healthy. I am about to flower them and I need to know the best soil choice and best nute choice. I'm looking for something easy to handle and good for explosive growth.

I used fox farm easy to use and great results. http://foxfarmfertilizer.com/soilfeed.pdf
For soil use a cheap potting soil with about 40 percent perlite. There are many post about soil and fertilizers just search!

Nutrient choice - If your looking for something easy, go with a simple one part blooming nutrient. General Hydroponics, Fox Farm, Humboldt, all make one part supplements that will work for you. Mostly its finding what fits your pocketbook.
Soil - Use the same soil that your plants are in now. If your re-potting before flower, Smokin Joe is right on the money, any top soil will work. Just remember to water them in well right after re-potting and then give em a couple of days to get used to there new digs.

Soil Matters!!
I went on the cheap when I was out of my trusty BlackGold, and I was too lazy to do the footwork to another store..Well, throughout the whole grow I noticed the sickly, small plants were alot different than my normal girls. And the final yield was 2 ounces a plant, down from 4 1/2 on the good BlackGold soil. Really, 50% less with bad soil...

I just switched from Fox Farm to Sunshine Mix #4.
I really like having an inert aggregate. Now I know exactly what my girls are getting.

I used fox farm ocean forest soil before on both of my soil grows... worked out pretty good. I also use a mix of flora nova and fox farm nutes but there are many good ones out there and it really does depend largely on what you can spend.

The soil is an important factor when growing, crap soil = crap harvest. I use biobizz nutrients and the ones i use are bio grow, bio bloom and top max.

is it me or are there a lot of people referencing biobizz lately? I've never used it myself, but is it really that good compared to flora nova or fox farm?

I see... I had a buddy in high school that moved from Danoon Scotland... (not sure if I spelled that right). Wish I could find that guy now, it was great going to the fast food joint and making him order coke, lol, sounded like something really bad with that thick accent. I'm glad that guy was a good sport about it though, wirey little dude could have kicked my butt.

HAHAHAH close enough you were one letter out it's Dunoon, if you think your friend had a thick accent you should try speaking to someone from Glasgow, people in Glasgow speak so fast you will deffo miss words if you arent listening carefully.

HAHHAAHAH Tracey aye ah kin nae bother. LOL
Going to be harvesting one of my girls at the weekend just waiting on some jars to be delivered, and another thing, would making your own drying screen from muslin work rather than buying a screen? Why pay the man when you can make it yourself i say.
Quick question; how do you use a pic as a Sig?
Peace

So I decided to do a soiless mix with the most expensive nutes I can afford for my next grow. I will look around, and is not cool to ask for store names on this site? Like setting up a flag someone to watch them or something. I am still so very new to this.
