Default First 2 leaves yellowing

So its on like day 9 or 10 and it hasnt done much. my friend repotted it at like 3.5 inches and buried it to the leafs almost. its now 3.5inches in the new pot and the leaves are yellowing from the tips towards the inner leaf. Now the tips are almost yellowish browning. Think the tap water is crap PH started with bottled water. n put more daylight bulbs. The soil isnt good either didnt notice it was shitty potting soil with nutes in it. not good for the babies. got better soil today and perlite and be repotting it soon as i can. Any suggestions

Those are seed leaves, they are supposed to fall off. They only supply the seedling for about 2 weeks.

they are yellow wayyy too early. those leaves stayed green on my plants for a month. most of the time they fall off sooner. but you can see the tips of the first set of true leaves are yellowing. if your soil has nutes in it, its not good to propagate seedlings in, and generally are not desirable in your grow what so ever. With time release nutes in soil, theres almost no way to tell what nutes are available to your plant at a given time. much better to go with regular soil mix and add your own nutes as needed when needed.

I restarted with a plant that looks similar and it just looked the same for an extra 3 days and then died... I'd go ahead and restart if it's a cheap seed and fix the mistakes... thats what i did and check the pics in my thread! lol... like 4 inches tall after 2 days in the right situations... same seeds as before, just growing much better due to different settings.

The first set of leaves is actually called cotyledons, they contain a supply and production of root growth hormones used early in life, when they die you know your seedling has established itself.

Usually about 10-14 days or so.
Peace
