Dying Lowryders

Hey my friend is having his first grow and he is growing lowryders. the problem is is that they are not growing at all. they only germinated and grew to the height of about 2 inches and just stopped. Now the leaves are starting to turn brown, but the newest leaves that are just developing are still a nice deep green. I think it might be lack of nutrients, or that his gorw light isn't powerful enough, (he keeps it at least a minimum of 6 inches away and its a GE 60 watt grow light for 4 plants). What is my friend doing wrong?

Not enough light .I veg with 2-4 bulb chrome bath lights each of them contain 2-23w & 2-14w 6500k CFL bulbs I gain about 1-1.5" growth per week(everything I use can be found at Home depot/Lowes)

Fellow by the name of Shaman (a Mod) visits here on occassion, and I know he has some experience with Lowryder strains....(hates 'em with a vengance, too..LOL!)

I agree though....need LOTS more lumens on 'em.

your friends problem could be the light but i got $5 says it is the fack he is growing a Auto plant. (this is just my opinion ) i would not recommend a second grow with these seeds . but if he wants to save them i would add more light and post more info like
what nutes have they gotten
what kind of soil
p.h
high low temps that they are exposed to
humidity
could be anything at this point but sounds like if light isnt the issue yet then it will be real shortly. for vegging i use 4 65w cfl light that produce 500w of light a piece and that is for each section of 5 plants vegging late veg i add on another 250w mh then flower i add 600w of hps
