Default Do cold temps make a difference

during flower....Indeey-do...I have some that I turn every two days trying to make sure of even light distrubtion. I am some what short of space since in 12/12 so two of them are sitting in front of the ac. In two days u notice a noteable difference in the bud maturity on the side next to the cooler temps.{facing away from the light}These cooler temps and placing an aitr stone under each root system has really brought on growth that others side by side aree not even close...u would'nt think they were all started at the same time.

From what I have read, and based on my own experimentation, colder temps forces the plant to produce more THC.

I have done some experiments using the same strain, and when introduced to cold, there is so much more thc, that even the leaves are heavly coated with thc.
This did not happen at all, when not introduced to cold.

Here is a picture of one such plant exposed to cold temps, look closely at the leaves.
Peace

It's accually becuause the resin on the plants is a way for the plant to catch males pollen. The plants feels it getting cold and spend more time producing resin to catch pollen but they can't seeing as there is no pollen. Which in the end gives you a plant that is full of resin and great to smoke. Also the leaves will make way better hash.

^^^^^correct..as well as colder temps provide us with the purps an other colors that react to the cold...also it has been shown that plants who have hot days an cooler nights experience more internode streching versus plants that have almost the same day temp as night...peace 2

I have heard from a long time grower that he gets his temp down to 65 deg during 12 off.

I have always heard that there should not be more than a 10 deg fluctuation in temp from light to dark.

The more thc for colder temps would tend to make sense per JollyGreenGiant's post.

I have also heard using blue spectrum light along with the red in flower will give you more thc.
This is based on the fact that outdoor plants from higher elevations tend to have more thc since they are getting more blue light than the lower elevation plants.
