Unhappy close to harvest and in trouble...

I have six wonderful girls all growing and budding nicely, then a few days ago I noticed the leaves started to look burnt. I had just used some Humbolt County Gravity nutrient on them the day before so I just figured I used a little too much and it was nutrient burn, but today I notice tiny little spider webs and tiny black things on the undersides of all the leaves. I don't know what to do. Can I harvest them now (they are really very close) and not risk the bugs eating or tainting the bud??? Or should I try and kill the bugs first? I'm a little afraid of spraying the plants with anything this late in the game cause I don't want bud rot. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've also had gnats this time but they have been easily managed with some gonats stuff I got from the hydro store. I hope someone can help me with this

thanks pine boy... I think I'm gonna go with the DR. doom fogger in the morning and see what happens. I'm thinking about cutting off all the leaves that show mite infestation tonight, then fogging in the morning and harvesting in a couple days after that. I just hope that the smoke is not nasty. I don't smoke myself, but grow for a patient and hope I don't give them some harsh product... thanks for the advice man... I appreciate it.

I recently had a similar problem, and I used a product called azamax. It is an all natural product for edible plants. My local shop recommended it, and they are usually right on the money. I treated them twice within a week and a half, then cut the plants that were close to maturity. I'm glad to say there won't be any need for a third treatment. The rest of the plants have no sign of them, but I went ahead and treated the new clones entering flowering just to give them an extra edge. Hope this helps

I was going to do it in the dark cycle... about two hours before lights come on... hope it works... any thoughts on if I can harvest while the mites are alive, or will they just keep eating at the harvested plants?

Most likely you will kill them.If you can treat them twice 4 days apart and then Harvest in a week or longer afterwards would be best.If not, treat them once and like you said ,pull the affected leaves and wait and see
Thats all I got.

The dude at the local grow shop here told me to NOT take clones from anyone around here because there has been such a spider mite problem.

I have used different spider mite solutions in the past. I have heard recently that alcohol and water 50/50 will kill them without harming plants as it evaporates quickly. You could kill any on the clones.

Good cal, krokker. That's what I would do @ this point. Blast the crap out of em with water/alcohol 3 days apart, then harvest 'em.

I personally wouldn't want to smoke Dr. Doom.

ESPECIALLY if it is a sick person this herb is going to. You don't know what a residual affect this will have on the person that smokes the herb. I would use the alcohol and water before anything else.

Bump!

I just found spider mites and I like the sound of H2O/alcohol, I just want to clarify that the alcohol in the water/alcohol combo was standard rubbing alcohol?

and no... doktor doom did not kill them all but most of them. I couldn't use the whole fogger on my grow cause its in a small closet and it said not to use in a space under 300 square feet so I just kinda sprayed them with the fogger then turned it off.

I used isapropal alcohol... 99% alcohol mixed 50/50 with water, sprayed, let dry, then sprayed with straight water and let dry.

Default Floramite

Is the ONLY thing that will get rid of spider mites. Period. It can be used three weeks before harvest.
Believe me..I know what I am talking about..had a lot of spider mites. I used everything...no pest strips, neem, exclude..on and on.
I realize it is not a product that is used on food plants..but if you aren't close to harvest..like I said three weeks away..it works, and you have time for it to dissipate.
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon in a gallon of water..one treatment...spider mites DEAD!!!
You can spray all you want with neem, all that other stuff..they do not work.
Floramite. Get it on Ebay..a dude sells small bottles for a little over 20 bucks, free shipping, you will get it in a few days.
