Default bulk watering

what do all the gurus thimk about having something like a kiddy pool with about 30 plants in soil filled pots in it and pouring the water into the pool to feed the plants through the drain holes has anyone done this and what are the pros and cons ,

I have about 35 plant and need a fast way to water with out pouring the water in the top of the pots by hand because i,m going to be adding a chicken wire to create a scrog and im to lazy/cheap to rig up a electronic feeding system unless some one can recommend a economic way too

You can do that just as you described with no worries. Same rules apply though, let the roots dry out inbetween waterings.
Peace

make sure it is good and cleaned out. dont want mold getting in there and spreading. also, did you mean the plants will suck up water through drain holes in the pots? i dunno how well that would work...just make sure the girls get adequate water. you might have to flood the pool up to the top of the containers, then drain out after a few minutes in the water. interesting idea, i would like to see how it works.

Just make sure that they get water to the top when you do it. I mean that the top of the roots gets moisture to the top of the pot, and they don't just sit in it. That will kill them. Figure out how much water it takes to water one and use that ratio. a bit less though, just so they don't get wet feet. They don't like that.

Sounds like rigging up a drip system may be useful in this situation...

Just a thought.

Peace,

i.ll try in the morning if not on the weekend i have a little work to do my girls are not that presentable they need some grooming of the under growth but i,m going to try to get it all done in the morning they accutally went in to flower to day but i,m gonna put a screen over them for support this weekend and hopefully get a decent scrog going also up until last week the were growing under 6 23watt bright wight cfl now they are under a 250 mh and this weekend to a 400hps + a 250hps i,ve been holding off on the hps lights because my fan gave out gotta upgrade that too

and yes the underbed totes are plastic and the measure 22"x46"and 7"deep they were 17$ i think at wallymart this is kinda what mine look like they have them every where i think the rubbermaid ones are 30$ mine are walmart chepo brand
