Thanks for sharing | Hi Liberty, sorry it's taken me so long to reply,I've not been on GP for ages. Now what's the best way to put this,oh yes Loooooong delays with equipment deliveries plus squeezed finances means flowering room only just nearing completion 7 days max till they go in,all being well, and another 2 weeks till new pictorial(so there's at least something to see)Thanks for the interest anyway. How's things with you, hope all's well, Cheers T | | The Following User Says Thank You to Mr Tumnus For This Useful Post:

Things are nice, Thanks for asking.
My only beef , like yours would be $$$ hahaha
Yes it takes money to cover the details in a garden that's for sure. The nutes alone and on & on....part of it I guess.
Well, I'll be waiting to see little hairs next month,,,laters & good luck...not too long now!
peace, love & new stuff

Rep Power: 43 | | I'm back,with 7 1/2 oz wet bud WOOHOO!!
Hi all, time for an update again. Not been on for a while been very busy and when I aint the pc has been hogged by my brood. Also just back from me Hols.Just harvested my first baby and got 7 1/2 ounces wet weight(will try to get some pics on later today) I'm looking for someone to give me a rough idea of how much that's likely to be when dried.
Nice to be back,Cheers Tumnus. | | The Following User Says Thank You to Mr Tumnus For This Useful Post:

I read in Jorge Cervante's book that you lose +/- 75% of the moisture when drying.
When I harvested I weighed every bit and lost 74.6% - So I think that's a pretty good # to estimate with.
7.5 oz. X .25 = 1.875 oz.
You're mileage may vary.
Of course, I'm a neophyte here and some of the pro's may have more sound advise for you.

You usually loose about two thirds, from just off the plat to dry. you will lose a little more when curing, but it should not be much if your babies were completely dry when you moved them into jars for curing. Oh yea and make sure you open your jars at least ten minuts to fifteen a day, while curing. I usually even pour the whole thing out on a table for fifteen minutes a day. until they are completely cured to perfection.
Peace, Love, and No Worries
Zachariah

As promised (although later than expected)some pics of my very first harvested bud.Got about half as much from my second but hey ho such is life, and going to get around double from my third in around two weeks so it's going to even itself out. Thanks,PacificaGal you were right on the money(give or take a gram)with the dry weight. They have been water cured and my bro in law reckons they are as good or maybe even better than anything he's had in Amsterdam.By the way much Kudos and many thanks to Dr Jonny, the water curing worked a treat. Cheers all,Tumnus.
