The BIG ...... and the small

Will be updating my grow journal today, but had to share these pics!

One is of "Bertha", a DWC plant that started off a bit sickly, but has now grown into a monster! She is taking up fully 1/2 of the flower room, and with only 5 other, normal sized, plants in there the room is stuffed!

Bertha is 42" tall (from the top of the tub) and circular shaped and in that pic it is taking up 40" of space from both the back and side walls (imagine a 40" X 40" square...that's her "space", so far. Haven't counted them all, but there are numerous large cola's developing nicely...should really give a yield!

Other pic is of the first real PURPLE strain I've ever grown. This one is called BlackBerry, and looks to me like a real beauty. Flowres are just incredible to look at, and she's gonna be a real STINKY girl when she is done. Flower time for this strain is only 35-40 days, max, and in my next grow there will be 3 in DWC. This particular BlackBerry strain has never been grown in DWC until now, so even the breeder is quite interested in how it is going to far.

Lordy, Lordy...growing your own medicine is a hoot!!!

Has anyone ever smoked Blackberry. Wondering what it is like.

It apprears the first I will ever smoke will be from this plant I am growing now. I am told it is the "best of the purple's", but that doesn't help me with the big question..."Will it help my illness???"

I found the Blueberry, while I really enjoy the body high, is not that good at managing the vertigo and other symptoms as is the Sweet Willie and the NFO. I think this Blackberry will be very good for those with arthritis and body pains, and also has many genes from the Sweet Willie.

Minor issue happened sometime last night in the flower room...the exhaust coming out of the 6" Vortex fan fell off (crappy duct tape..only held 6 months!). I walked in there this morning, and it was 91 in the flower room and 84 in the veg (next door, with an open door between them for air travel).

Now, the exhaust (which draws air from inside the room, through the fixtures and out) is both duct taped and I added clamps to both the intake and exhaust of that fan, plus a clamp on the 4" Vortex in the veg room (I learn from my mistakes!..never fully trust duct tape!)

While I understand most folks top or cut their plants for better vegging, I have not so far, as (so far) I like to let a plant "Do it's thing" and grow the way it wants to. If I had topped this plant I think it would have spread further, and be totally unmanagable.

So, to answer your Q..it was never cut or topped...this is the way it grew.

LOL! Dude, that plant is so "FAT" now that, had she been topped, she would have grown over the whole room! Really. the growth just took off, and before I knew it she was bigger than Mama Cass!
