Rep Power: 197 | | Update: Ice 6 weeks into flowering
hello all, so my internet got shut down for a few weeks but all is well now. here's an update..
all plants are 6 weeks into flowering.
the Ice mom that got nute burned has recovered nicely...i flushed with ph'ed water for 3 days and started her back on half strength nutes and gradually got her back up. since then i have just topped her bucket off everyday with ph'ed water. i trimmed off as much of the burned foliage that i could. buds are forming nicely. she should be done in 3 more weeks as expected. pistols are about 40% brown and trich's are bursting everywhere. i hope they keep gaining weight over these next three weeks. I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the two ebb n flow trays are doing better...i had to trash the B52's so all thats left is about 45 ice gals. they seem to have picked it up a little bit but i still think they will need another week at least on top of the regular 9 because of the size they were flowered at. other than that, buds have started to form nicely. pistols are still white. trichs are forming.
here's some snap shots..let me know what you guys think..its good to be back.

what do you guys think as far as recovery, potential yields, overall ? i feel like each grow i keep learning a lot more and things keep getting better.
after this i will be selling my ebb n flow trays and getting and ebb n gro system...1 55 gallon res with 12 - 4 gallon ebb n flow buckets attached. can get up to 48 buckets on one resevoir. buckets allow you to grow bigger plants. i also think i will be selling my two 1000 watter's and converting to three 600 watter's on three tracks..one over each row of 4 buckets. all will be ice. plants will veg for 4 weeks and flower for 8. i like the idea of growing less plants bigger than lots of small ones..it gets overwhelming fast..anyways i cant wait to get up and running with this new system. im excited

wow Ice they look good for getting burned. You going to give the flood bucket a shot.Just besure the pump lines are claped good. You dont want to come home and have 30 or 40 gals of nutr leaked out every where.it's a good system, but when it's time to clean it up to start a new crop it takes alittle more time then the flood trays do.I would keep the trays and setup it dosnt take up much space to store. You may do both one day.I agree with the lights, you would get more bang for {elec} buck.Every time I grow a new strain I learn alot from each one.You never stop learning. Yours are looking good, keep us posted. Peace

thanks Toke..means a lot friend. I was shocked at how fast she came back from the burn..i was sure she would not recover this well but damn was i wrong.
I will probably keep a few of the trays for later use i just want to find the best way for myself to get the most of out my gals...it was a lot to handle having a TON of little girls instead of a handful of huge ones you know? but we'll see what happens...im not sure what to expect off the yield. hopefully 1 lb minimum but who knows. thanks again pal, i will keep you guys posted.

Rep Power: 197 | | Update: Ice 48 days into flowering
Well folks it's time for another update..i got a chance to relax finally and enjoy the garden,
The mom is doing pretty awesome...she is bursting with trich's everywhere! Some cola's look much better than others but i can not complain..it should be a nice happy harvest. she has about 10-14 days left! sweet...im going to be using clearex also so i can keep juicing her up till the last minute.
ok now for the ebb trays...i have to say i am surprised. After a res change and a little higher ppm they started kicking things up a little. im still thinking they will go longer than the mom..pistols are still mostly white but everything is frosting up nicely
Enjoy the pic's...let me know what ya think.

what do you guys think about potential yields off this momma?
she would have done much better if i didnt nute burn her =\ but im still expecting a decent crop. buds that did not take much damage look so awesome it makes me mad that the whole plant doesnt look the same. other buds that got the burn bad will need to be trimmed b/c i doubt the burned area's are even tokable.
im hoping for between 8-12 ounces but who knows....

Likely pretty close...I would guess the same, but maybe not quite so optimistic about the 12, more like 8-9....but that's just a WAG based on what a couple large ones I've grown have yielded.
Looking sweet Ice!

Thank you ISO, i am so excited for this one!!
my only problem is that i still do not have a scope and i have been looking to buy one but cant find one that will do the job at a reasonable price. i checked all the radio shacks in my area and all they had were magnifying glasses that were like x4 and x10 and my camera can do that! i went to my local hydro shop and he wanted 80$ for a x30! not gunna happen...so if anyone knows anywhere i could find something affordable that would be awesome! i wanna go by the trichs not just the website reccommended flowering time of 9 weeks.

Best tool to have for your garden is a scope. However, if you have to go by advertised 9 weeks, I'll just bet you wouldn't be sooooo disappointed.

K guys i got the scope from radio shack....called a bunch of them til they tracked it down for me @ a location near me so i didnt have to wait for shipping...sweeeeet.
tonight i just cut off a leaf to check out these trich's.....the thing looks like a diamond! as far as i can tell, trich's are looking mostly cloudy maybe like 80% cloudy 20% clear did not really see any amber. this scope is awesome, buy it if you dont have it already! how fast can they change to amber?
i am going to try out clearex...any thoughts on when to use it and what not? hydro shop guy said to run it in my systems for a few hours about a week before harvest, empty res and refill with just carbo loader til the last day. what do you guys think? this guy has given me wrong info before which is why im asking. other than that 9 weeks will be up on the 17th but ill go by the trich's so at least the mom is coming down soon. not too sure about the ebb n flow trays they could be farther behind. ill post some pic's of them in a bit.

k i have been playing with my new toy for the last hour checking trich's all over...that scope really is badass...can see those suckers so well! they look juicy
my ice mom is like i said before mostly cloudy...with the exception or the random clear/amber. i really think she may be done sooner than expected! SWEET! what do you guys thibk? when should i try this clearex out?
as for the trays, trich's on them are still mostly clear with the exception of a random cloudy/amber. not to sure as to how much longer they will need. buds seem to still be forming and pistols are still mostly white. i hope they have at least a couple more weeks..they did not bulk up too much yet so we shall see.
