this strain is very interesting...all of the branches of fan leaves or a plum colored purple and the plant itself has 2 main stripes of the same color plum that run down the whole thing..i tried to show it in a pic above. it looks awesome IMHO

thanks man, i appreciate it! over my ebb n flow trays i have a 1000w hps on a track that goes over both trays slow and steady...the reflector is air cooled pretty well and right now i have the light about 3-5 inches off the tops of them...im amazed that im not burning them at all and i think they are loving this close up 1000w. i left my hand under it for a couple minutes right below the bulb and it was just warm..i would say like 80 degree's maybe 85 and that was right under the bulb!
the Ice mom that is flowering has her own 1000w MH...she vegged under that for about 3 months and has tons of bud sides dude...like crazy. i am picturing huge dense cola's...mmmmm... but i know MH is not what you should use to flower but it is all i have for her...do you think it will still do the job?

dude, i just re-read the thread, and ...doh! hps...man hps always produces good results when the rest is in order that is, lol. i use cfls myself, it just suits the indoor grow a little better if you don't have room or live in an apartment.

thanks bro..the big ice mom vegged for like 3 months. the ones in the ebb n flow trays vegged for 2 weeks at 12 inches average. they are about 24-30 inches i would say. probably close to being done their growth spurt. i cant wait to get some nuggets off these babies

right on, man, well i hope you get the dankest fattest juiciest nugs dude.
peace
Sweet pics Ice ! You've got a place there
Any chance at all you can get an HPS lamp into that fixture? You will notice a difference, I am told. I've never flowered under anything but HPS, but I'm sure someone here has tried it with MH...
Think of it this way...the plant is in flower, meaning the days are shorter. In nature, when the days get shorter the Sun is sitting lower to the South, meaning the light travels through more of Earths atmosphere due to the angle of the Sun/Earth as it travels to your plant..hence, more red spectrum in the light..and that encourages better bud development.
Hope that makes sense...I'm a bit "modified" myself at the moment...

Hey Ice,They are looking sweet real sweet.I'am old school on the lights,I start them under cfl's and then veg with MH and then switch to HPS for flowering.Alot of poeple do the whloe grow under HPS with great results. To me it's like the start of the grow the plants eat up the MH and then when I switch to the HPS they know it's time to flower. The switch to 12 hours light and the switch to HPS really dose it good for me.Your pixs are great, good choice on the camera it take some nice pixs too.Keep up the good work they are looking good.PEACE

Thank ya Jangel! i am a proud parent i must say...but yea im very surprised at how well she is filling out even though shes under the MH...the results are looking really nice so far i cant wait!
I did rig her up very nicely all over and bent her over lol...just so that i could get the most off her with the amount of light im using (she is under her own 1000w MH). the light is penetrating very well...the bud sites are growing daily its crazy!
im a little discouraged about my ebb n flow trays though...they are def about a week behind this mom if not more..will this effect their overall outcome or do you guys think they will catch up? IMHO, the ice mom was mature and very happy to be flowered so she got down to business right away...as far as the clones go in the trays they were not fully mature since i only vegged em for 2 weeks so they might be a little slower (but hopefully will make it to the end of the race the same as their momma)
but damn! the bud sites on this mom are so close together, it is only a matter of time before they start to connect to each other! how long do you think?

can anyone answer this from experience...how different are results between flowering with MH and flowering with HPS?
and i have heard that HPS ballasts can run MH...true or false? if thats the case i wish i never bought this 1000w MH!!!!!!! should have just gone with two 1K HPS...
