Wow what a beast. I have seen similar grows as this pretty expensive if you ask me. But some folks got it to spend I guess.

I'd recommend you just build your own vertical system that didn't rotate.
A vertical, naked bulb with a screen circling it (at the point where your colas would start), and some shelving on the outside of the screen (so you don't have to use 1 plant to fill all the vertical space in the screen), seems like it would do the same thing for about 1/100th the price.

Not bad for a first attempt It just needs .com on the end otherwise you get this:
Sorry! We could not find www.rotogro
I wish i had that sort of cash to spare but even then i wouldn`t buy it lol

These were all the rage about 5 years ago.
From what I've seen it takes the right strain and a dose of Bushmaster to pull these grows off. Otherwise things grow right into the light.
A "coliseum" will do much the same thing without the motor drive/etc. (it's a vertical system, not horizontal)
A guy could sure set up a nice room with multiple lights with that kinda cash.
good luck

I have a cylindrical vertical in the construction stage that uses a motor drive. The plants will be on the outside as it uses natural light |

The original idea was to use 2x 4ft rebounder (mini trampoline) frames to form a strong yet cheap cylinder skeleton for an indoor system..may still be useful to someone looking for ideas? It would be about the right diameter for a DIY rotogro ;)
I decided to big and use 2x full sized trampoline frames instead The cylinder will be supported by 10 pairs of ball raced guide wheels, i did a test using 5 pairs and it spins around with every little effort, just a gentle push does the job.
It wont be turning constantly, i just need it to turn a few degrees every so often. The idea is the plants will all get a fair share of the south side of the greenhouse instead of being stuck facing east, west or north
I can`t see many copying the idea though lol

still sounds pritty neat I can tell there some great thought process in it.Instead of a light mover move the plants.
heres an idea with 2 bike tires a record player and panty hose you could make it automated and have it turn itself
idealy one turn every hour would be perfect
good luck bro sounds very cool

Sounds perfect for a smaller indoor cylinder.
I`ll be using two 8ft diameter frames with upright extended to give me 6.5ft of cylinder height. I have a heavy duty antenna rotator earmarked for the task. A cycle timer will fire it up and rotate the cylinder 30 degrees every six minutes or whatever seems best for the weather at the time
Should be a fun project.
