Hey this is my first post. Ive been doing alot of reading on different types of lights and grow boxes ect..

My goal is to reach 10LBS every crop or every 2 months. I want to do this in one place (one house or apartment). I will have a seperate area for my clones and mothers so that is not an issue, i am just focused on flowering.

If it is impossible to do 10lb in a apartment would it be impossible to do 5lb in an apartment? I am basically building myself up but want to know the steps to get 10lbs a crop.

My question is what is the best way to go about this? Should i buy the expensive grow boxes like the producer at bcnorthernlights or should i go with the supernova LED lights and construct a normal set up?

I dont mind spending the extra money if its going to A. Save me money B. draw less heat on me.

I plan on doing everything with hydroponics.

I dont have the place yet. I will rent the perfect place that can set me up. If its safer doing 5lbs a house then thats what i will do but if i can get away doing 10 id rather that.

Im looking at everything. If renting a much smaller place and doing 5lb is going to be cheeper than renting 1 big place for 10 id rather rent 2 small places.

Im not at that point yet but like i said i want my road map infront of me so I know where to go. Rent a smaller place or suck it up and get a big place and do the big 10 lb..

Basically all my options are open.

I was thinking doing 5 LBS with Supernovas (not sure how many i would need) and 5lb with the producer cabnets..

But i need suggestions from people who know what they are talking about cause this is something I dont want to learn from "trial and error" like ending up with a record 2 grows in ;)

That is quite a large goal. You should be extra careful. What are you getting 10lbs for? Starting your own dispensery?

Also, 5lbs with supernovas would probably be expensive. You can ask the LED guys what it would take though.

Thats exactly why i am here so i can be careful and not to make some stupid mistake or do something I shouldn't even try.

How many supernovas would I need for 5lbs? going with 1000w (or equal too) i would assume 5 right? i know thats a ****load of money but i still believe if i could achieve that then in the long run it would make sense. Less heat less money for electricity, less money for fan systems ect...

but from everything i read on these lights it seems its pretty split for people against and for.

my setup which is aeroponics ive learned form stinkbud from riu
i have a 10 x 12 room with a 10000 btu air conditioner and 50 pint dehumidifier and 2600 hps lights........
i yield about 15 oz per week but its taken alot of time work and money and lack of life to get there........
so i guess i could grow about 8 pounds in 2 months......but it takes 2 months just to get the perpetual grow going...and thats saying u have the genetics and the knowledge
and an apartment isnt logical for that kind of op.....too much power and water usage
ull get busted.....and the smell even with carbon filter is risky
i would say basement of a house with 3 20 amp lines for just growing....and expect a 400 $ a month bill

if u start out with a mother plant (my system doesnt use mothers) u can take a bunch of clones and in 2 weeks they will be rooted......then another month to veg them up to size.......

i would say get something like northern lights or big bud from sensi seeds from attitude and go with ocean forest soil and a 400 switchable ballast with a mh for veg and a hps for flower.......
post your progress in a journal and work the kinks out of your system........
10# is what u could expect with a nice outdoor grow

The first thing that jumps out at me is the fact that you are going to try and grow either 5 or 10 pounds of cannabis every 2 months in a rented space. That sounds like a pretty significant space you will need in order to get that kind of yield.. so I don't know how stealthy your setup will end up being. Landlords only have to give you 24 hours notice.. and an operation that large could be quite tricky to conceal.

Ive grown but its been a few years. Im just taking Veg into consideration. Im not accounting the time it will take for growing mothers and clones, i know thats extra time. When i say 2 months i mean just vegatation.

I do know i want to grow Hydro tho. I want to stay away from the soil.

Green Goblin. This is why i'm thinking about the Producer cabnets. They use the wattage of a microwav and if i got 24 hours notice from a landlord i could rent a U-haul and have them in the truck within an hour or 2. From what northernlights claim they say a producer produces about a LB to 2 LB's depending on the strain.

But each producer is like 3500 dollars. Again in the long run its worth it cause its super safe and easy to hide.

Excuse me but I am not sure if you are in the right place to ask this. Can you tell me why you are renting property to do this and are you growing illegally? We are not here to help warehouse gureilla grows prosper. We are working on changing laws for many, and I personally feel a lot of growers that free range on society's property and then move on to grow somewhere else and irresponsibly leave damaged homes and apartments in their wake, are a big problem for legititmate growers, and others that do so responsibly. We are a predominantly medical forum, dedicated to eduacation and law change, but can't support what hurts our fight.

So please do correct me if I have you wrong. I will wait to here your response.

As a matter of fact if i decided to go the cabinet rout I wouldnt even need to touch any of the existing property. But again thank you for assuming this.
