Default yellowing drooping leaves

hi guys, got 2 plants goin into 4th week of flowering but leaves are yellowing not only at the bottom but middle & light green on top also curling inwards on fan leaves
i fed on monday with bio-grow ,without bio-bloom which i,ve been using with top max since i put onto flower, i think its a nitrogen deficiency, also i think i might be overwatering them so is it ok to leave them for 4-5 days before feeding again&was it ok to feed with bio-grow to increase nitrogen?
im using 250 watt hps,11 litre pots,bio-bizz all mix, used bio-grow in veggie then bio-bloom & top max when i put onto flower.

mabey back off the top max for a bit and i would keep with the bloom and just add nitrogen in on top of the bloom . mabey even a little epson salt to be safe might be a mag deficiency also .

I was having much the same problem...or at least I THOUGHT it was a problem, till I read THIS.

Seems there are several schools of thought regarding fan leaves and the yellowing. I trimmed a bunch off of one of my plants last night that is closest to being "done".

BTW... WELCOME! This is a place

I got a couple points to make on this topic, first to: iso2bwell......
Are you aware we host the complete overgrow FAQ here?
Reason I mention it is, after ALL the work I did to get it hosted here, I'd truly appreciate it you would make reference to the faq here rather than off site, it helps us to build value in "our" web site here. Thank you!

Now to Motorheed, it is my belief that it is common at about the 4th week to experience a N defiency. Some nutrient companies, such as foxfarms, reccomend you to use the grow nute in the 4th week.

Also as you get nearer to harvest you'll continue to see a N defiency, this is normal and it is good, it shows you the plant is using up its nutrients, and when you are 2-3 weeks from harvest, I wouldnt bother to treat it. I believe the N defiency at this late stage helps with the final taste of the product.

I always trim my leaves during flowering, and I save them, and add them to my trimmings I get during harvest, and make butter for my brownies! I love brownies, I'd rather eat my ganja than smoke it, it's a blast! Such a nice high. In my opinion, of course.

I am not farmaliar with the nutes your using though, I use the foxfarms line up, and the earth juice lineup. I also use some seaweed extract.
Peace

Just be careful about over watering.
As you gain experience, you'll learn to pick up your plant and judge the weight of the growpot if it needs water.

Go to the FAQ and check out the plant abuse chart. That should help clear things up.

i know this thread is ways old, but im reusing it because there is a seriously important subject here..
the question id add are:
does overwatering cause yellowing leaves and or lack of oxygen in the roots?
could that be my problem? ahhh, my problem
they are seriously turning yellow my gals, i think it may be a nutrient block.. how do i fix it?

another question: if my lights too close to the plants will this cause yellowing of the plants...?

So I gather you are still having problems..... I think it is the worm castings, ileso. Too much nitrogen will make them go yellow, also a nute lock out will as well. So will too much water. and this will also curl the leaves. I am pretty sure it is the worm castings, babes. Once you replant those girls into a lighter mix with perlite they will pick up sweetie.

P.S. they will go crispie if too close. To test this, put your hand where the tops of the plants are: If it is warm, not hot, then they will be fine. If hot, back it up a bit.

patiants!!!

Yes, Ileso, I do cook well too. Kind of like I grow, by instinct.

You are doing well, buddy.
