I'm not at all concerned about taste or effect, what I really want to learn first is the proper way to care for a cannabis plant. I know that I could probably start with any strain, and learn a lot through this forum as well as what i would learn through trial and error, but sometimes you just want the best chance to see something progress from start to finish.. I hear that the northern lights strains are very newbie friendly, but I would love everyone's imput on which strain to choose for a first grow..
I sincerely apologize if this question has already been asked and answered on this forum.

I did tons of homework, and there are many strains that will grow just fine under reasonable conditions. Don't overwater, don't overfertilize, and use HPS lighting. Remember, in Jamaica, they grow on rocks with goat poop and carrying water to the plants!

My first grow was White Widow, excellent smoke, and very easy to grow and forgiving. Second was Lowryder 2, an auto flower, but sprout it, plant it, and in 9 weeks you have pot. I did 5 feminized seeds, 5 popped, all 5 were females, so appeared very stable and easy. Also, check out Skunk #1. I just started 3, looks very nice, supposed to be very easy to grow, great yields, and a great smoke.
